Atlanta-based Nexera Capital and Emerge Hospitality Group are developing the 13-story, 183-room hotel, featuring a rooftop restaurant, lounge, lobby bar, and retail. Opening is set for Q2 2026. The property is near Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, and major venues like State Farm Arena, with access to the 3.9 million sq ft Georgia World Congress Center.

CoStar: U.S. Hotel Room Construction Reaches Highest Level Since February 2023

🏢 In June 2024, the U.S. saw its highest number of hotel rooms under construction in 16 months, with 157,713 rooms (up 5.5% from June 2023), 266,619 rooms in final planning (up 9.8%), and 333,827 rooms in planning (up 38.7%). Upscale and upper midscale segments hold nearly 50% of the final pipeline phase, but growth has decelerated. Midscale and economy segments surged 42% and 34%, respectively. Notably, 6,760 luxury rooms and 19,023 upper upscale rooms are under construction.

Sertifi and Davidson Hospitality Group Expand Partnership

J.D. Power: 2024 NAGSI Study Shows Travelers Are Paying More for Hotel Rooms

🏨 In May 2024, the average daily rate (ADR) for a U.S. hotel room reached $158.45, just below the historic high of $159.01 from October 2023. The 2024 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index (NAGSI) Study by J.D. Power reveals varying satisfaction across hotel segments, with luxury and upper upscale showing strong scores, while limited-service segments see satisfaction decline. North American hotel guests now average nine trips annually, down from ten, but stay longer, averaging 3.43 days. Hotel brands like The Luxury Collection, Margaritaville Hotels & Resorts, and element rank highest in their segments. Full-service hotels maintain higher satisfaction despite higher rates, suggesting that investment in staff and facilities correlates directly with perceived value.
