🍕 Chef Stefano Secchi, of Michelin-starred Rezdôra, launched Massara in Manhattan's Flatiron District, occupying a historic 6,500-square-foot building with two floors, two bars, and four dining areas. Brooklyn-based Sarah Carpenter & Studio designed the Italian-inspired space featuring a 15-foot-long marble counter, raw Italian limestone walls, travertine floors, and fumed oak banquettes. The second floor mimics a homely vibe with rustic plastered walls and Italian decor, emphasizing a connection between floors using openings, textures, and light.

🏡 Hyatt Centric Zhongshan Park Shanghai, redesigned by Red Design, celebrates its proximity to the historic Zhongshan Park, a 1920s hotspot. Embracing haipai style, the hotel features Chinoiserie wallcoverings and lacquered furnishings. The 250-key hotel includes a tailor shop-themed ground floor, a main lobby with a red lacquered desk, VIP bar areas, and dining spaces in varied colors. Guestrooms offer old-world glamour with modern Asian fabrics, while the Scenario 1555 bar showcases a mix of historical and ultra-modern influences.

⚽ Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid's iconic soccer venue, began renovations in 2014 by winning architects gmp, L35 Arquitectos, and Ribas & Ribas Arquitectos. The transformation includes a steel louver façade, retractable roof, and lawn system allowing for diverse events. Capacity increased by 3,000 to roughly 83,000, with an added 240 VIP lounges and 1,600 seats. The first major concert held post-renovation was by Taylor Swift in May. The venue also boasts a club museum, stadium tours, and a 360-degree skywalk.
