Report reveal business travel ground…

📍 According to the report by FREENOW and GBTA, 85% of travel programmes have risk policies for business travel, yet only 55% frequently address ground transport risks. Regular safety trainings are conducted by 62% of programs, with 56% covering ground transport. Although 89% have traveler tracking systems, only 24% can consistently locate employees using ground transport. Half of the travel managers view taxis as the safest ground transport; vehicle safety checks and professional licenses are vital for 93% and 91% respectively. Business relationships with transport vendors exist for most companies in Germany, UK, Spain, and Ireland, enhancing operational efficiency.

Global overnight arrivals exceed 1.5…

🏖️ International tourism arrivals are expected to hit 1.5 billion in 2024, a growth surpassing 2019's numbers, as reported by the WTM Global Travel Report and Tourism Economics at World Travel Market London. By 2030, overnight tourism arrivals could increase by over 30% to two billion. Leisure tourism expenditure in 2024 is estimated to reach over US$5.5 trillion, a 24% increase from 2019. Travel spending as a percentage of consumer spending is up to 8.8% in 2024 from the 8.2% average of 2010-2019. Overnight stays in paid accommodations in 2024 are projected to be 7% above 2023 and 16% above 2019, with the average length of stay for international trips up by 12% compared to 2019.
