📍 ATPCO has partnered with 3D SeatMapVR by Renacen for an immersive aircraft shopping experience. Users can virtually tour aircraft interiors during the booking process for insights into seat features and layout. This service, part of Routehappy Visuals, is available to Routehappy airline subscribers also subscribed to Renacen. AmTrav, part of TravelPerk Group, is the first to integrate this content, showcasing Virtual Tours for Gulf Air, Iberia, and Iberia Express, with more airlines to be added. This initiative aims to boost traveller confidence and ancillary revenue opportunities.

Web3 hackathon finds industry use cases…

🎯 Lufthansa Systems and SWISS partnered with Camino Network Foundation for a Web3 Hackathon in Frankfurt to develop blockchain and AI solutions for the travel industry. The 48-hour event featured 13 teams from travel and tech companies. Top projects included The Unimoni team's integration of 300,000 non-IATA travel agencies in India, SWISS and Digital Hangar's Travel-ID via Web3 wallet, and Hotelplan's group booking solution. Carbify won the 'Winner of the Hearts' with a CO₂ reduction solution offering full traceability. The hackathon showed up to 98% cost savings and 50% improved sustainability. Mikael Woelcke from SWISS will speak at the Travolution European Summit 2025 on May 13 in London.
