The digital presence of the hospitality industry is a critical indicator of market dominance and consumer reach. Our latest research infographic provides a comprehensive visual breakdown of web traffic across thirty-six of the world’s most significant hotel brand holding companies. This resource is designed to help industry professionals and analysts understand where the attention of global travelers is currently concentrated and how the digital market share is distributed among the largest players in the sector. The complete dataset is available for all our subscribers for free here.

As anticipated the upper echelon of the rankings is occupied by established industry titans that maintain a massive lead over the rest of the field. The top six names including Marriott, Hilton, Wyndham, Accor, IHG, and Hyatt effectively control the lion’s share of the digital market. Combined these six entities account for nearly 84% of the total traffic across the entire list of companies analyzed. Marriott leads the pack with a total traffic volume that represents more than 26% of the aggregate data illustrating a significant gap between the market leader and its closest competitors.
The disparity in scale becomes even more apparent when comparing the top of the list to the middle tier. For instance Marriott generates over one hundred times the traffic of Adagio ApartHotel which holds the twentieth position. This ratio highlights the extreme concentration of digital authority at the very top of the industry. While the leaders are expected the inclusion of certain brands in the top ten presents an interesting shift in global dynamics. OYO and the Barceló Group have secured high rankings outperforming long standing names like Best Western and Radisson. Furthermore even within the top tier the drop off is steep as Hyatt maintains more than double the traffic volume of Radisson which follows immediately in the rankings.
