A-nrd Studio Transforms 19th-Century Glasgow Townhouse into Hotel Celebrating City's Industrial Heritage for Oberland Debut
🏨 In 1999, a 19th-century Glasgow townhouse was converted into a hotel. A-nrd, led by Alessio Nardi and Lukas Persakovas, revamped it for British hospitality brand Oberland, preserving its industrial heritage. The restoration included original features like stained-glass windows and a birdcage lift. The design emphasized a low-intervention development approach, collaborating with local artists. The hotel, now called Arthouse, blends grandeur with an intimate atmosphere, reflecting Glasgow's historic charm.
