Haus W in Austria's Alpine Lech Region Restored Using Untreated Spruce and Traditional Methods by Hoteliers Schneider
🏨 Hoteliers Gerold and Katia Schneider restored Haus W, a lodge in Austria's Alpine Lech region, originally built in 1609. The duo used untreated local spruce and traditional methods, collaborating with local craftspeople to preserve the heritage. The lodge features four bedrooms, a library with a fireplace, and a spa by designer Shinchiro Ogata. The project includes bespoke furniture and a wooden screen with a Japanese influence. The adjoining studio will host artists in residence part-time.
