Capella opens Seoul club ahead of 2028 residences launch

🏠 Capella Hotel Group opened Capella Residences Seoul Club in Seoul’s Hannam-dong district, previewing the full development set for 2028. Korea's first members-only facility by an international luxury brand offers exclusive access to future residents of the 222-unit complex. The club features The Dining Room by chef Seung-jun Lee and The Roof by chef Edward Lee. Designed by Liaigre, it combines natural materials with contemporary architecture, reflecting Seoul's landscape. The full project involves US firm Olson Kundig and British architect David Chipperfield.

Red Carnation opens rooftop bar at The Chesterfield Mayfair

Radisson surpasses 210 signings and openings in 2025

🏨 Radisson Hotel Group announced 210+ hotel signings and openings in 2025 across EMEA and APAC. In Europe, new properties will open in Manchester and London, with Radisson Blu expanding in Paris, France, Germany, Türkiye, and Montenegro. In China, 130 hotels have opened this year. Radisson surpassed 200 hotels in India. Radisson Red expanded in Oslo, UAE, India, and Thailand, focusing on sustainability with the second Verified Net Zero hotel in Oslo.

IHG to open first Kimpton hotel in Austria

🏨 IHG Hotels and Resorts, in partnership with Tristar Austria, will open the 119-room Kimpton Salzburg in mid-2028, marking Kimpton's debut in Austria. Located by the Salzach River, the hotel will feature river views, 11 suites, a wellness area, and meeting spaces. It is part of a redevelopment project led by Midstad. The opening reflects Salzburg's role as Austria's second-largest hospitality market, following Vienna. IHG has 14 hotels in Austria and over 210 in the DACH region.

Eight Continents acquires Guernsey’s La Barbarie Hotel for £6.25m

Previously owned by the same family for nearly 40 years, it was sold to Eight Continents, led by CEO Haninder Sachdeva. Julian Troup from Colliers highlighted Guernsey's appeal for investors.

What’s behind the UK hotel investment boom?

🏨 UK hotel investment soared to £1.04bn in Q3 2025, a 28% year-on-year increase. London led with £697m, while Scotland, the South West, and West Midlands saw triple-digit growth. Single-asset deals comprised 92% of transactions. Domestic operators made up 45% of buyers. Rising consumer demand and lifestyle brands drive growth, supported by overseas capital. Regions outside London experienced significant growth, with Scotland up 85% and the South West 360%. High operating costs influence financing strategies.

IHG reports steady RevPAR and stronger development pace in Q3

📈 IHG Group reported a 0.1% rise in RevPAR for Q3 ending September 30, 2025. Global RevPAR increased by 1.4% year-to-date. Regional RevPAR grew 0.8% in the Americas, 3.8% in EMEAA, but fell 2.6% in Greater China. Global rooms revenue rose 4%, despite a 2% dip in leisure and 4% in group bookings. IHG opened 99 hotels (14,500 rooms) and signed 170 hotels (22,600 rooms) this quarter. The company has completed $700m of its $900m share buyback program.
