Located on Wick Lane by the River Stour, this four-star hotel offers 17 bedrooms, including 12 suites with private lounges. Zedwell opens largest capsule hotel in Piccadilly Circus

Radisson signs partnership with Manchester’s Co-op Live arena

Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach names new culinary leaders

👩‍🍳 Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort in Orange County has appointed Michelin-starred chef Steve Benjamin as director of culinary and promoted Nicole Encarnacion to executive chef at Bourbon Steak. Benjamin, a Paris native with nearly 25 years of experience, will oversee all food and beverage outlets. Encarnacion, from the Philippines and with the resort since 2018, will lead day-to-day operations. These moves aim to expand culinary offerings and promote women into senior roles.

BoE holds interest rates at 4%

💸 The Bank of England (BoE), this week, decided to maintain interest rates at 4% due to inflation concerns. The Monetary Policy Committee voted 7–2 to keep the rate steady, with two members favoring a reduction to 3.75%. The committee also voted 7–2 to decrease UK government bond purchases by £70 billion over 12 months, reducing the total to £488 billion. CPI inflation was 3.8% in August, expected to rise slightly in September, with a target of 2%.

Murrayshall launches luxury pods as part of £30m estate revamp

Bain Capital to acquire Pullman Montparnasse hotel in Paris

🏠 Bain Capital acquired the Pullman Montparnasse hotel in Paris from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield with Columbia Threadneedle and QuinSpark for an undisclosed amount. Signed on 17 September, it's among France's largest hotel transactions. Built in 1974, the 957-room, 32-storey hotel had a €216m refurbishment in 2021. Located in the 14th district, it features conference space, restaurants, and a sky bar. Plans include energy efficiency upgrades to comply with the French Tertiary Decree.

Clermont Hotel Group agrees dining partnership with Gordon Ramsay

Soneva Fushi wins hospitality award in global hotel ranking

St Ermin’s Hotel appoints new sales and marketing director
