Over 50 restaurants and hotels join Help Out Hospitality campaign

SimpsInns to open new spa at Waterside Hotel after £3m investment

🛌 SimpsInns will open Si! Spa at The Waterside Hotel in West Kilbride on 17 February, after a £3m redevelopment. The coastal hotel, now with 40 rooms, added 17 sea-view bedrooms. Located 40 minutes from Glasgow, bookings are open for day guests and overnight spa breaks. Owned by the Simpson family, SimpsInns operates hotels, restaurants, and leisure venues along the Ayrshire coast.

Irish Hotels Federation names first Quality Employer Award winners

Ennismore outlines 2026 pipeline as portfolio hits 200th hotel

UKH warns of over 2,000 closures without business rates relief

🏠 More than 2,000 UK hospitality venues could close in 2026, driven by a business rates hike in April, says UKHospitality. Forecasted closures include 963 restaurants, 574 hotels, and 540 pubs. Business rates for hotels may rise by £28,900 next year, totaling a 115% increase over three years. Pubs might see a 15% rise, adding £1,400, and a 76% increase over three years. UKH urges the government to increase the rates discount from 5p to 20p.

Criterion Capital acquires St Giles London Hotel in West End deal
