🏨 In May 2027, the British Motor Museum will see the completion of the UK's first Fairfield by Marriott hotel, offering 142 rooms initially, with potential expansion to 240. 🏨 Kirklees Council announced that work on the Grade II listed George Hotel will speed up next month. By October 2025, 108 hotel rooms, bar, restaurant, gym, and conference facilities will be created, managed by Radisson Hotel Group as Yorkshire's first Radisson Red. Scaffolding is to be set this month, with a construction compound in St George’s Square by March 2026. This renovation is pivotal for Huddersfield's town centre regeneration, supporting local economic growth.
