🏖️ Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Le Park Concord to develop 100 Super 8 hotels across Saudi Arabia over 10 years, beginning in 2026. This initiative, aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aims to address the rising demand for budget-friendly accommodations as the country welcomed 30 million international visitors in 2024, a 9.5% increase from 2023. Future hotels will be located along major highways and cities like Riyadh, Jeddah, and Makkah.

📍 NexGen Hotels acquired the 165-room Claridge House in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood. This summer, it will become part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection. The hotel, near major attractions like Wrigley Field and Navy Pier, offers amenities such as Wi-Fi, spa-style showers, and meeting space. It features a fitness center, spa, and two dining options: Cal’s at Claridge House and Sushi by Bou Gold Coast. NexGen owns 16 Midwest hotels.

🏨 Detroit Foundation Hotel, originally opened in 2017, completed a renovation in May, updating its 100 guestrooms and The Apparatus Room restaurant. Located in Detroit's former Fire Department HQ from 1929, the hotel features seven Commander Suites and a redesigned Borgman Room. Chef Rece Hogerheide leads a new seasonal menu. The hotel retained its third-floor podcast studio, ensuring its continued role as a cultural hub. Renovations enhance its connection to local design and history.

🏨 AC Hotel Wichita Downtown opens on July 16, 2025, as Kansas' first AC Hotel. The 118-room hotel is in the historic Brown/Broadway Plaza Building, built in 1929 in Wichita. It features preserved Art Deco and Classical Revival architecture. Amenities include a 2,000-square-foot event space, 24-hour fitness center, and AC Lounge. Located near INTRUST Bank Arena, it caters to business and leisure travelers. General Manager Jeff Barnett highlights the hotel's blend of history and modern European sophistication.

📍 Marriott International partners with Verkehrsbuero Hospitality to open five hotels in Austria, adding 1,100+ rooms. Four hotels will convert to Four Points Flex by Sheraton, marking its Austrian debut, with openings expected by 2026. The historic Parkhotel Schönbrunn will join the Tribute Portfolio. This expansion aims to grow Marriott's midscale segment in Austria, where it currently operates 21 hotels across 14 brands, totaling nearly 4,000 rooms.

🏨 The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami is undergoing a $100 million renovation, set for completion in December. This first full-scale update since its 2001 opening affects its 420 rooms, public spaces, and amenities across the 13-story, 17-acre property. Enhancements include a new restaurant, refreshed existing venues, redesigned lobby and spa, and updates to pools and event spaces. Gencom, owning 23 assets with over 6,000 rooms, emphasizes the property's luxury standard.

🏨 Tulsa, Oklahoma, to build a 650-room hotel connected to the downtown Arvest Business Convention Center, with construction starting in 2026 and expected to finish by 2029. The $390 million project aims to enhance Tulsa's meetings and events infrastructure. Visit Tulsa tourism board revealed that the hotel's design contract is being contested by three firms, with a developer selection in June. The hotel will boost Tulsa’s capacity for large-scale events, complementing the 275,000-square-foot convention center. Tulsa's events currently generate an annual economic impact exceeding $327 million. The development marks a significant step in establishing Tulsa as a major meetings and conventions destination in central U.S.
