Highline Hospitality acquires Hilton Atlanta Airport

🏨 Highline Hospitality Partners acquired the 510-room Hilton Atlanta Airport, adding to their portfolio which now totals 15 hotels and over 4,100 guestrooms. HEI Hotels & Resorts will manage the property, marking their first venture with Highline. The hotel features 40,000 square feet of meeting space and amenities like two pools and a fitness center. With over $1 billion in assets, Highline plans renovations to bolster its market position. The Hilton Atlanta Airport caters to both business and leisure travelers with its proximity to the airport and downtown Atlanta.

Aman Nai Lert Bangkok opens in Thailand

🏛 Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, Aman’s second property in Thailand, opened in the Nai Lert Park district with 52 suites and 34 branded residences. This 36-story estate includes a 16,145-square-foot spa, multiple dining venues, and emphasizes Thai heritage with bespoke art installations. The hotel offers suites starting at 1,012 square feet, with the Aman Suite being 7,675 square feet. It features a three-story wellness facility with a spa, fitness center, hydrotherapy areas, and the Banya Spa House. The property provides cultural experiences and joins Aman's 24 properties worldwide.

Investor sentiment strong in Europe: Cushman & Wakefield study

🏡 European hotel investment is expected to rise in 2025, with 94% of investors planning to allocate the same or more capital. Most sought-after cities include Madrid, Barcelona, and Rome. Transaction prices are anticipated to grow, with 70% expecting hotel values to increase. Prague, Munich, Milan, and Edinburgh are also gaining investor interest, with Prague up 14%. The European Central Bank cut rates four times in 2024. More than half of investors aim to be net buyers with return on equity expectations at 13.6%. High ESG-rated hotels could see a nearly 5% green premium. Major investor concerns are rising construction costs (65%) and geopolitical risks (44%). Investors surveyed have invested over €16 billion in European hotels since 2019.

Hotel Bellevue Cortina joins Emblems Collection

🏕 Accor, Invel Real Estate, and Prodea Investments partnered to include Hotel Bellevue Cortina d’Ampezzo in Emblems Collection, its first in Italy. Set in the Dolomites, the 19th-century hotel on Corso Italia is being redesigned by pconp and Tihany Design, featuring locally sourced materials. It will offer 80 rooms, 27 suites, a 5,400-square-foot spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a main restaurant, and the Bellevue Terrace. Sustainability is key in its renovation, aligning with Accor’s standards. The Emblems Collection focuses on integrating historic properties into Accor’s luxury portfolio.

Lodging Dynamics is taking a Park City Hotel into the Marriott family

🏨 Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group converting Park City Peaks Hotel into Hotel Thaynes, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott Bonvoy. $21-million renovation expected to complete in October, featuring updated guestrooms, public spaces, and amenities. The 128-key property, located in Park City, Utah, will maintain Versante Hearth + Bar and provide shuttle service to nearby ski resorts and Main Street. Amenities include an indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, steam room, fire pits, and BBQ area. Hotel Thaynes will join over 150 hotels in Tribute Portfolio, in nearly 30 countries, offering boutique hospitality with local culture integration. Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and redeem points at this property.

Rotana and GHA team up to expand global loyalty program

📍 Rotana joins Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), integrating 80 properties into GHA DISCOVERY program, available to 30 million members. GHA DISCOVERY generated $2.7 billion and 11 million room nights last year. Rotana, based in Abu Dhabi, will add five brands to GHA by early 2026, including Rotana Hotels & Resorts and four others. Rotana Rewards transitions to Rotana DISCOVERY, offering DISCOVERY Dollars and benefits like room upgrades. GHA, with this addition, nears 950 hotels and aims for 1,000. Rotana gains larger exposure, while members enjoy more flexibility and rewards.
