The first to open is Lancaster with 94 rooms, construction begins Spring 2025. Targeting the mid-scale extended-stay market, stayAPT Suites offers full-size kitchens, living rooms, and separate bedrooms. The brand emphasizes operational efficiency with a low employee count, appealing to various travelers and providing home-like living with hotel convenience. Destiny Partners chose stayAPT after evaluating multiple brands for its high margins and guest satisfaction.

Rotana and GHA team up to expand global loyalty program

📍 Rotana joins Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), integrating 80 properties into GHA DISCOVERY program, available to 30 million members. GHA DISCOVERY generated $2.7 billion and 11 million room nights last year. Rotana, based in Abu Dhabi, will add five brands to GHA by early 2026, including Rotana Hotels & Resorts and four others. Rotana Rewards transitions to Rotana DISCOVERY, offering DISCOVERY Dollars and benefits like room upgrades. GHA, with this addition, nears 950 hotels and aims for 1,000. Rotana gains larger exposure, while members enjoy more flexibility and rewards.

Angad Arts Hotel St. Louis joins Hilton’s Tapestry Collection

Local artists within 200 miles feature their art, which is purchasable online.

Extended Stay America has monumental Texas opening

🏠 Extended Stay America opened its 50th Premier Suites hotel in Schertz, Texas, developed by Provident Realty Advisors. The three-story new-build offers 115 rooms with free Wi-Fi, breakfast, a fitness center, guest laundry, and suites equipped with full kitchens and workspaces. Schertz, between San Antonio and Austin, benefits from the nearby Randolph Air Force Base driving demand. Provident plans more Premier Suites in Kyle and Temple, Texas, targeting 100 Premier Suites hotels in three years.

Casa Cipriani coming ashore in Miami

🏠 Casa Cipriani is expanding to Miami with a 40-suite boutique hotel, private members’ club, and 23 residences within a 17-story oceanfront tower at 3611 Collins Avenue, representing the brand’s first foray into real estate. Architect Brandon Haw designed the Miami location, developed by 13th Floor Investments, Midtown Equities, and the Cipriani family. Sales for residences will start later this year, with groundbreaking to follow. 13th Floor Investments has been active since 2008, while the Cipriani brand originated with Harry’s Bar in Venice in 1931.

Dusit International signs deal to manage property in Manila

📍 Dusit International to manage the upcoming Dusit Greenhills Manila, opening in San Juan City, Metro Manila in 2026. The hotel will be part of the 50-story Primex Tower, located 45 minutes from Manila International Airport. Featuring top 10 floors occupancy, 200 guestrooms, rooftop swimming pool, gym, ballroom, and dining options including Benjarong and a rooftop bar. Primex Tower will also have office and retail spaces. Dusit International operates 296 properties in 18 countries and plans to open nine more in the Philippines within five years.

SLS Madrid Infantas Residences begins construction

Penthouses feature private terraces with city views. Residents will have access to SLS Social House amenities and be part of Accor's Live Limitless program.

Corinthia Grand Hotel Bucharest now open

The Bucharest hotel, located at Calea Victoriei and Elisabeta Boulevard, was inaugurated in 1873 and is a national monument. It offers 30 suites, combining traditional and modern elements. Dining options include Boulevard 73, Sass’ Restaurant & Lounge, and The Heritage Bar. The hotel features the Corinthia Spa with various wellness programs.

He is a Cornell and HEC Management School graduate and recipient of France's Knight of the Legion of Honour.
