Aman Partners with Shinsegae Property to Launch First South Korea Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul

🗺 Aman, a luxury hospitality brand, has signed its first hotel in South Korea, partnering with Shinsegae Property for Aman Seoul in Cheongdam, Gangnam. Overlooking the Han River, the development will include a hotel, branded residences, a spa, and a members-only Aman Club. Led by Vlad Doronin and Chung Yong-jin, this project marks a significant urban expansion in Asia. Other upcoming locations include Beverly Hills, Miami Beach, Dubai, and Singapore.

Annual Hospitality Conference 2026 Announces Speaker Lineup, Featuring Key Industry Leaders in Manchester, 14-15 September

Urban Rest Expands to UK with First Hotel Management Agreement at 14-Key One Dorset Square, London

🏨 Urban Rest has acquired its first UK hotel, One Dorset Square, a 14-key boutique in Marylebone, London. Previously the WWII French Section HQ of Churchill’s SOE (1941-1944), it's now fully automated under the HMA model. Opening is slated for winter 2026. Urban Rest seeks more London ventures.

The Master Innholders Opens Applications for £15,000 Neil Bannister Scholarship at Cranfield University, Deadline 30 Sept 2026

📚 UK hospitality managers have until 30 September 2026 to apply for The Master Innholders’ GM of the Future, Neil Bannister Scholarship. The £15,000 Cranfield University leadership programme spans 12 months, allowing recipients to work while studying. Targeted at middle and senior managers, the programme develops essential leadership skills. Runner-up prize includes Cranfield’s Impact and Influence programme and coaching. Winners will be revealed at the 2027 Hotel Leadership Conference, 11-12 January, in London.

The Shepherd Mayfair Set to Open in London’s West End on 1 September 2026 with 82 Rooms

🏨 The Shepherd Mayfair, a luxury boutique hotel, opens on 1 September 2026 in London's West End. The site, originally Mayfair’s oldest house from 1618, was acquired by Bain Capital and Orka Investments in 2021. Planning permission was secured in 2023. The hotel features 82 rooms, a 62-cover restaurant, a 46-cover café with terrace, and Teddy’s cocktail bar. Hamilton Pyramid Europe will manage the property as part of the Elegant Hotel Collection.

CORI Hornbæk Hotel to Open as Luxury Coastal Spa Retreat in Denmark on September 1, 2026

🏨 Denmark, 1 September 2026, Hornbæk Beach: CORI Hornbæk Hotel opens as a luxury coastal spa retreat with 77 rooms and five townhouse apartments, designed by Afroditi Krassa. Amenities include CORI Spa, The Jetty bar, and Cori Table by chef Brian Mark Hansen. The hotel revives Ole Falkentorp's 1935 "Badehotel" with a modern twist, blending Danish culture with global luxury. Developed by COPI and part of Leading Hotels of the World, it aims for year-round guest rejuvenation.
