A new Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton opened just in time in Farmingdale, a 9-minute drive from Bethpage Black Golf Course, offering rooms at $900 per night during the event, dropping to $200 post-event. Owned by Oxford Hospitality and managed by Concord Hospitality, the hotel features 101 rooms, a fitness center, indoor pool, and a Pour-My-Beer self-pour station.

The hotel, celebrating its first anniversary, recently debuted the Anna Suite by Anthropologie Home and wellness-focused stays, Type Anna / Type Bel, in its Fishtown, Philadelphia location.

Swire Hotels announces senior management appointments

Snaith-Lense will lead the new Shenzhen House, Swire's first opening in nine years, launching in 2027.

Holiday spending expected to slow this year, but travel holding steady

📈 U.S. consumers' holiday spending is projected to drop by 5% from 2024, the first decline since 2020, per PwC's 2025 survey. Gen Z, ages 17-28, plans a steep 23% reduction in holiday budgets due to life changes and job market instability. Gift spending decreases by 11% to $721 average. 46% still plan to travel, similar to last year, with Gen Z travel intentions down to 55%. Most travelers (48%) visit family. Millennials embrace AI for travel, with 76% using it for recommendations.
