Marriott International bucks the trend, ekes out positive RevPAR in Q3

🏨 Global RevPAR at Marriott International increased by 0.5% in Q3 2025, with international markets up 2.6% and the U.S. & Canada down 0.4%. Net income rose 25% to $728 million from Q3 2024. Marriott added 17,900 net rooms, with 13,900 internationally. Development pipeline hit 3,923 properties and 596,000 rooms. Marriott Bonvoy gained 12 million members, totaling nearly 260 million. Full-year 2025 RevPAR growth is expected between 1.5% and 2.5%, with net rooms growth nearing 5%.

In Starwood Hotels, Barry Sternlicht reprises his greatest role

Luca Virgilio leads The Dorchester into a new dawn

IHG to manage Crowne Plaza Lumbini in Nepal

Andaz Hiroshima to debut in 2027

IHG taking over management of Adelaide’s Mayfair Hotel and transitioning it to a Kimpton

📌 Adelaide’s Mayfair Hotel will transition to IHG Hotels & Resorts management in mid-December 2025 as part of a partnership with Ark Capital. Built in 1934 and converted in 2015, the 170-room hotel will rebrand as Kimpton Mayfair Adelaide in 2026 after refurbishment. IHG's Kimpton brand entered Australia in 2022 with Kimpton Margot Sydney, and Kimpton Teneriffe is planned for 2031. The hotel will remain open during renovations, which will continue through 2026.
