Minor Hotels strengthens Italy presence with NH Collection hotel in the Alps

🏖️ Minor Hotels is set to open NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso in Italy's Pennine Alps in March, catering to ski enthusiasts with its proximity to 150 kilometers of slopes in Monte Rosa Ski Hotel. The renovated hotel will feature 56 rooms, a wellness center with separate 300 m² adults-only and 400 m² family areas, offering pools, saunas, and treatment rooms. The NH Collection marks its 10th anniversary in Italy, increasing its Italian portfolio to 17 hotels, while Minor Hotels Europe & Americas has 60 Italian properties.

Accor to launch TRIBE and TRIBE Living in Saudi Arabia

🏡 Accor and Naif Alrajhi Investment are launching the first TRIBE and TRIBE Living properties in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the King Salman Park development. The TRIBE Riyadh King Salman Park will feature 250 rooms, two restaurants, meeting spaces, a banquet hall, a gym, and a swimming pool. TRIBE Living will offer 150 apartments, from studios to three-bedroom units, with shared amenities such as a clubhouse. The urban park spans 290,000 square meters, offering residential, commercial, and community facilities. Accor currently operates 1,683 hotel keys in Riyadh, with another 2,740 in the pipeline.

Prima Asset Management partners with Schwartz Family Co. to boost London hotel investments

🏦 Singapore's Prima Asset Management partnered with Australia's Schwartz Family Co. to boost London real estate presence. Prima's hotel project in Paddington will see the Victorian-era hotel expand from 68 to over 80 rooms after renovations. Acquired in June 2024, financed by OakNorth Bank, the project is in collaboration with Capilon Group. Schwartz Family Co., with a portfolio of 15 hotels and over 4,300 rooms, invests in Prima's vision for sustainable hospitality. London, a top hotel investment destination, saw €2.6 billion in hotel deals in H1 2024, up 215% from H1 2023. Prima aims for another hotel acquisition by Q1 2025.

Blackstone solidifies Japan portfolio with three hotel acquisitions

Japan's 2024 foreign visitor spending hit a record JPY 5.8 trillion by September, with a single-month peak of 3.3 million in July. First-half 2024 hotel investment volume reached $2.9 billion, a 30% increase over 2023. Japan anticipates 60 million annual inbound visitors by 2030.

Dusit Hotels expands portfolio with new hotels in Thailand, India

🏕 Dusit Hotels and Resorts opened Dusit Princess Chiang Mai in Thailand after a 3-year renovation, featuring redesigned guestrooms and upgraded facilities reflecting Lanna culture. The property participates in Thailand's tourism revitalization campaign "Nuea… Phrom Tiew". In India, Dusit marked its market entry with dusitD2 Fagu, Shimla, inaugurated on December 15, boasting 80 guestrooms, a temperature-controlled pool, and a spa. Dusit International operates 301 properties across 19 countries, including 57 hotels and 244 luxury villas.

Hyatt debuts The Unbound Collection in Southeast Asia

Marriott to open Ritz-Carlton hotel in Xiamen, China

Hyatt adds Bahia Principe resorts via JV with Grupo Piñero

Hilton Denver City Center joins Sage Hospitality’s portfolio

Hilton expands in the Caribbean with Tapestry Collection resort in Bonaire
