Maritim Hotels to open a resort in Southern Italy

🏖️ Maritim Hotels, set to open Maritim Resort Calabria in Villapiana, Italy in April 2025, will feature 324 rooms and suites. Occupying 93,000 square meters, it includes three pools, two restaurants, three bars, an indoor theater, and a nightclub. The resort offers sports facilities with seven tennis courts, a multi-purpose court, a football pitch, a boccia court, a bike station, an archery range, and a 325-square-meter indoor fitness area, plus a Nautical Center. The wellness center spans 4,000 square meters with a Turkish bath, saunas, an ice room, a hydromassage pool, and a spa suite.

LVMH grows luxury hotel footprint with stake in Les Domaines de Fontenille

🏡 LVMH Group and Anaïs Ventures invested in Les Domaines de Fontenille, a French hospitality group. The minority investment will facilitate expansion and renovation of properties. Les Domaines de Fontenille, led by CEO Linda Hazi, aims to grow in France and internationally, with 11 existing properties across France, Spain, and Italy, and 10 opened in the last four years. Two more hotels are set to open: one in Brittany, France, in spring 2025, and another in Aix-en-Provence, France, in 2026. The group has recently become a Société à Mission, pledging to social and environmental impact. LVMH's investment reflects its interest in diversifying beyond its clothing and jewelry businesses.

Mandarin Oriental to manage hotels in Paris, Amsterdam

🏦 Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to manage two prestigious hotels: Hôtel Lutetia in Paris and Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, starting early 2025. The rebranding to Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris and Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam will occur in January 2026, following property upgrades. Lutetia, founded in 1910, boasts 184 rooms and a 7,500-square-foot wellness center. Conservatorium, housed in a 19th-century building, offers 129 rooms and a wellness center. Both hotels are set to enhance Mandarin Oriental's luxury hospitality footprint in Europe.

Prague’s Grand Hotel Evropa reopens under Marriott’s luxury brand

🏡 Grand Hotel Evropa in Prague, originally built in 1872 and redesigned in 1889, reopened as W Prague, introducing W Hotels to the Czech Republic. The hotel changed hands multiple times, with Prague Prime Home Management acquiring it in 2016 from entrepreneur Václav Skala. W Prague features 161 rooms, including 23 suites, a W Lounge, rooftop bar, and spa. The new nine-story wing was designed by DAM, featuring a magical garden theme and connecting to the heritage building.

TPG Hotels adds Sheraton McKinney to managed portfolio

🏡 TPG Hotels & Resorts expands management portfolio by adding Sheraton McKinney Hotel, recently acquired by LXMI Capital. The 187-key property features an outdoor pool, fitness center, over 16,000 square feet of meeting space, and an 82-seat restaurant. Located at the US-75 and SH-121 intersection near Dallas-Fort Worth, it's close to North Dallas corporations, amenities, and TPG’s new headquarters. Nearby developments include the $200-million Sunset Amphitheater, opening in 2026. TPG boasts a historical resume of managing over 600 hotels and marinas in 42 states.

AC Hotels by Marriott opens in the Dominican Republic

🏨 AC Hotel Santiago de los Caballeros, part of AC Hotels by Marriott, opens in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Situated in the Monumental Area, the hotel boasts 140 minimalist-designed rooms, a rooftop restaurant, European-inspired breakfast AC Kitchen, bars, lounges, outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and meeting spaces. Santiago de los Caballeros is the country's second-largest city. Marriott International's portfolio includes over 230 AC Hotels in 33 countries, all featuring AC Lounges and Kitchens and part of the Marriott Bonvoy program.

Ennismore brings Rixos brand to Southeast Asia

🏖 Ennismore announces the opening of Rixos Phu Quoc in Vietnam, set for mid-2026, in partnership with Sun Hospitality Group. The resort, located on Hon Thom's beaches, will feature over 1,300 rooms, including 207 ocean-view suites. Amenities include a family beach area, water sports, 22 dining venues, and proximity to Sun World Hon Thom theme park. Rixos Phu Quoc will be part of Ennismore's ALL Inclusive Collection of over 35 resorts.

1 Hotels to venture into Japan with nature-inspired Tokyo hotel

🏡 SH Hotels & Resorts will open 1 Hotel Tokyo, their first in Japan, in partnership with Mori Trust in 2025. The 211-room hotel will be part of the Tokyo World Gate Akasaka project, featuring retail and office spaces. Located in Akasaka, the hotel aims to be a green oasis in the city and has secured Rank S CASBEE certification for outstanding environmental performance. The hotel will include a biophilic design, energy and water conservation systems, a main restaurant, spa, fitness center, indoor pool, and 473 square meters of event space.

HVMG finishes 2024 with eight additions to portfolio

🏨 Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), an Atlanta-based hotel operator, added eight new hotels in 2023, expanding its portfolio to 51 properties with roughly 1,200 new rooms. This growth led to an increase of over $60 million in asset value. HVMG, deriving 70% of revenue from full-service hotels, was also ranked in the top 20 of Atlanta's Top Workplaces 2024 by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for the sixth consecutive year, from more than 8,000 applicants. The company manages over 8,700 rooms across 17 states.
