Sonesta Adds Laxmi to Its Franchise Portfolio

🏨 Sonesta International Hotels Corporation announced the opening of 18 hotels with Laxmi Hotels Group in September 2024, marking a milestone in selling 113 managed properties. Laxmi manages 11 hotels, and Ark Hospitality handles seven, all under the Sonesta Select brand. The total portfolio, including 30 Sonesta Select, 44 Sonesta ES Suites, and 39 Sonesta Simply Suites, adds 14,803 rooms across 28 states. The new locations are in Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Tennessee, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Radisson Hotel Group Highlights Global Signings and Openings

🏨 Radisson Hotel Group added over 210 signings and openings in 2025. In EMEA, Radisson Blu expanded in France, Germany, Türkiye, and Montenegro. France saw significant growth with new hotels in Lyon and Paris. Radisson RED opened in the UK, Romania, India, UAE, and Thailand. Radisson Individuals reached 100 hotels since 2020. China saw 130 new hotels, and India surpassed 200. Radisson's resort portfolio grew to over 160 properties worldwide, including new locations in Europe and Asia.

Lodging Econometrics: U.S. Hotel Construction Pipeline Remains Steady in Q3 2025

🏨 In Q3 2025, the U.S. hotel construction pipeline reached 6,205 projects/728,416 rooms, with a 1% increase in rooms year-over-year. The under-construction projects numbered 1,118 with 137,620 rooms. Upper-midscale and upscale chain scales represented 59% of all projects. Extended-stay hotels accounted for 40% of projects. Brand conversions hit a record with 1,477 projects/148,035 rooms, up 18% by projects YOY. By year-end 2025, 692 new hotels/79,847 rooms are expected, with growth rates of 1.4% for 2025.

Sotherly Hotels Enters Merger Agreement
