Canada’s travel advisor market holds steady as costs rise and tech evolves

  • 28 February 2026
🗺 Canada, 2026: The travel advisor landscape remains stable with a seasoned workforce—60% have over 10 years' experience, while new advisors (2 years or less) are at 14%. Tour operators need direct booking systems and AI-friendly websites to stay relevant. AI commoditizes generic travel, increasing the value of bespoke experiences.

  • 27 February 2026
✈️ Airbnb might eventually launch flights, aiming to expand beyond its core home rentals by becoming a "travel concierge." The question remains if consumers will turn to Airbnb for flights and how it would impact their home and hotel business. Industry reports have hinted at such moves since 2016.
