PAN PACIFIC LONDON UNVEILS NEWLY RENOVATED SUITES SPOTLIGHTING FLAIR & FUNCTIONALITY

🏡 Pan Pacific London, a Forbes five-star hotel, unveils 42 newly renovated suites with a rich tapestry of textures and botanical motifs. Singapore-based FDAT designed the suites to enhance residential ambiance and reflect Singaporean heritage, with bespoke pieces and two distinct styles. Notable features include striking views, dressing tables, ergonomic desks, marble bathrooms, and ample walk-in wardrobes. Three new introductory packages—"Perfectly Suited" for family, business, or celebrations—are tailored to guest preferences, including the Devonshire Suite's workspace and fitness equipment, Bishopsgate family suite's 100+ square meters of play space, and the Walbrook Suite's butler service and Champagne. Guests also have access to the SENSORY Wellbeing Floor, evening turndown service, complimentary pressing, mini bar, and Dyson amenities. For restful sleep, a customisable bed, yoga, meditation, and expert-recommended refreshments are provided.

🏫 Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, a 12th-generation member of the Churchill family, reveals Britain’s Blenheim Palace in her 12th book, ‘Blenheim – 300 years of Life in a Palace’. Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for baroque architecture and English heritage. The book features photography by Hugo Rittson Thomas and covers private, staff, and stateroom areas. It was launched at Blenheim Palace and is sold at Woodstock Designs, the palace gift shop, Amazon, and other online retailers. Lady Henrietta studied Art History, attended Inchbald School of Design, and runs Woodstock Designs and Spencer-Churchill Designs Inc.

Blenheim Palace named Sustainable Tourism Provider of the Year at UKinbound’s Awards for Excellence 2024

🏡 UKinbound recognized Blenheim Palace as the Sustainable Tourism Provider of the Year on 26 September during the Awards for Excellence ceremony, held at Liverpool Cathedral. The UK's inbound tourism industry, represented by UKinbound, generated over £31 billion last year. Blenheim Palace aims for Net Zero by 2027 and to sequester 230,000 tonnes of CO2 by 2050. Over 320 professionals attended the event, which also featured a convention with speakers like Scott O'Neil, CEO of Merlin Entertainments.

The Shift Towards Retention: Planday uncovers actionable insights to reduce hospitality staff turnover

📝 85% of UK hospitality workers experienced poor mental health in the past year, with 67% desiring more notice of shift patterns. Planday's survey of over 2,000 shift workers informs The Single Biggest Shift campaign, targeting enhanced employee retention and happiness. 15% wouldn't recommend the industry, citing low pay (66%), long hours (57%), and rota control (46%). Currently, 53% plan to leave their jobs, and 68% considered industry change due to erratic scheduling. Planday CEO, Dave Lee, suggests planning shifts ahead and better mental health support to retain staff; 47% prioritize work-life balance, and 25% want regular working patterns.
