Accor and LVMH Launch World's Largest Sailing Ship, Corinthian, with €1 Billion Investment in Luxury Hospitality

🚢 Accor and LVMH have collaborated on the world's largest sailing ship, the Corinthian, at the Joubert shipyard in Saint-Nazaire. The 220-meter, 15,000-tonne vessel, a €1 billion investment, features 54 suites and accommodates 110 guests with 170 crew. It marks a new hospitality category, blending yacht and cruise liner elements. The Corinthian offers luxury experiences, including 5 Yannick Alléno restaurants, and sets sail in May 2026. Accor's Luxury & Lifestyle division grew 9.8% in 2025.

Marriott to Switch from PepsiCo to Coca-Cola Across Global Portfolio Starting Summer 2026

🥤 Thirty-five years after choosing PepsiCo due to financial constraints, Marriott will switch to Coca-Cola in summer 2026, as 70% of guests prefer it. The original decision came after Coca-Cola rejected Marriott's 1992 request for $50-100 million in loans. PepsiCo secured an agreement, but Coca-Cola is now poised to provide financial benefits, potentially up to $22.5 million annually. The 2016 Starwood acquisition highlighted dissatisfaction with Pepsi, exacerbating the need for change.

Hilton Signs Deal to Develop 125 Hampton Properties in India with Royal Orchid Hotels by 2035

📍 Hilton announced a deal with Royal Orchid Hotels to develop 125 Hampton properties across western and southern India by 2035. Hyatt plans a new brand for India. India has 2.48 million rooms, only 463,851 branded. Accor aims for 300 hotels by 2030, Radisson targets 500 by 2030, and Louvre's Sarovar Hotels plans 300 by 2027. India's hospitality market is growing at 7% annually, with a 12% RevPAR increase expected in 2025.

Goldman Sachs Exits Three European Leisure Assets, Including Casa Collective, Following Strategic Acquisitions and Sales.

🏖 European Camping Group expands its French portfolio beyond 40,000 pitches. Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, managing over $1 trillion, joined a year ago. Casa Collective, initially acquired for £11 million post-Thomas Cook liquidation in 2019, was purchased by Goldman Sachs in 2023 and sold to Domes Resorts in 2026. This marks Goldman Sachs's third European leisure asset exit since 2022, following sales of Sani/Ikos Group for €2.3 billion and Halkidiki hotels for €400 million.
