🏦 Jeremy and Julian Buffam of New Castle Hotels & Resorts announced the reopening of the 55-room LaSalle Hotel in Bryan, Texas, following a multi-million dollar renovation. Originally built in 1928, the LaSalle is now part of the Marriott Tribute Portfolio. The railroad-themed renovation includes a lobby-level restaurant, Station 36, an outdoor event space, The Platform, and the Boiler Room speakeasy. The aim is to provide guests with an authentic experience that resonates with Bryan's historical significance and its status as a Texas Cultural District.

🏡 Tivoli Hotels & Resorts opened the Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi Firenze Hotel in Florence, Italy, marking its second property in the country. The 16th-century luxury palace, renovated by Patrizia Quartero and Guy Oliver, offers 86 rooms, 8 suites, a fine dining restaurant, and a rooftop bar. Remington Hospitality now manages the first Puerto Rican property, Hotel Miramar in San Juan, with plans for renovation. The U.S. hotel industry saw a slight decline in occupancy (66.6%, down by 1.7%) and RevPAR ($107.86, down by 1.4%), but a minor ADR increase ($162.05, up by 0.2%). Mandarin Oriental, New York, became North America's first hotel to earn the Global Sustainable Tourism Council Certification for its sustainability efforts.

🏡 Extended Stay America Premier Suites – Harrisonburg in Rockingham, Virginia, opens, offering 92 rooms with amenities like WiFi, breakfast, a fitness room, and pet facilities. Managed by KARA Hospitality, it's their third newly constructed property, with another in Charlottesville expected by 2025. The hotel, catering to extended stay guests, is strategically located near Sentara RMH Medical Center, James Madison University, and other landmarks. Mark Williams and Mitesh Amin express confidence in the property's future success.

🏡 In Denver, Colorado, Sage Hospitality Group and Tidal Real Estate Partners revealed The Ann Savannah will join Sage's portfolio, converting to the Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy brand by early 2025. Offering 157 serviced apartments, the property located on Ann Street in downtown Savannah, previously Ann Street Lofts, will cater to business and leisure travelers with amenities like pet-friendly living spaces, full kitchens, and washers/dryers. The partnership aims to infuse local Savannah culture into the guest experience.

🌮 Javier Vera-Abbassi's brand opens a 14-seater dining area in London's department store on 23 September. Centered around 100-year-old family recipes, Conchita's offers burritos, tacos, salads to eat in or take away. Menu highlights include tinga tacos, cochinita pibil, portobello options, and burritos like jackfruit and beef birria. Salads feature ingredients like cactus and watermelon. Desserts include churros and tres leches cake. A forthcoming breakfast menu will add burritos and Mexican sweet bread.

🌆 Located in Asheville, North Carolina, Moxy Asheville opens officially with a six-story, 115-guestroom structure. Guests receive a welcome drink upon check-in at Bar Moxy. The hotel showcases a rooftop bar called Wildwood Still, offering 150+ whiskeys and a menu led by Executive Chef Austin Tisdale. Nearly 20 artists contributed to the site's art, featuring North Carolina's tallest mural. Moxy Asheville shares amenities with connected Aloft Asheville Downtown and is operated by McKibbon Hospitality.

🏖️ Sonesta International Hotels Corporation to open five Sonesta ES Suites in the Dominican Republic, starting with Sonesta ES Suites ELEMENTS Jarabacoa in early 2026. The initial property will be an upscale extended-stay hotel in La Vega province, offering at least 80 suites, eight pools, tennis and padel courts, and more. Almanzar Marte Ingenieros & Arquitectos, with over 14 years in real estate, will franchise the properties. All five hotels are due by 2031, expanding Sonesta's presence in the LATAM market.

🏡 Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG's luxury portfolio, announced a new boutique luxury hotel, Kimpton Rockefeller Center, set to open in late 2025 in New York City. Developed with Extell Development Company, the 33-story hotel will offer 529 guestrooms, two full-service restaurants, a lobby lounge, rooftop bar, fitness center, and meeting spaces. It will join two other Kimpton hotels in NYC: Kimpton Hotel Theta and Kimpton Hotel Eventi. Globally, 75 Kimptons are open, with 57 more expected in the next 3-5 years.

🏨 Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort opens in Ras Al Khaimah, U.A.E., marking the brand's sixth hotel in the Emirates. It boasts 292 rooms, designed by Kristina Zanic Consultants, four swimming pools, seven dining venues, a fitness center, spa, and children's club. Moxy Hotels debuts in North Carolina with Moxy Asheville featuring 115 rooms, a rooftop bar, and shared amenities with Aloft Asheville Downtown. Sonesta International Hotels Corp. to launch five Sonesta ES Suites in the Dominican Republic, starting with Sonesta ES Suites ELEMENTS Jarabacoa in 2026, featuring 80 suites at 595 meters altitude. IHG's Vignette Collection to open in Alaró, Mallorca, Spain by 2025 with a 45-room hotel surrounded by vineyards.

🏨 Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa, in Florida's Disney Springs Resort Area, features 394 guestrooms, over 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a zero-entry pool, hot tub, and American Kitchen Bar & Grill. After a $25 million renovation, it now boasts the Indulged Spa + Wellness Retreat, a 5,000 square foot outdoor terrace, updated fitness studio, rooms, and lobby. As an Official Walt Disney World Hotel, it offers shuttle service and early park access. The Stonehill Taylor-designed renovation highlights local citrus groves themes and includes poolside lanai-style accommodations. Located just 13 miles from Orlando International Airport, the resort caters to various events with flexible indoor and outdoor spaces.
