Hotel Gotham Newcastle to open in September

🏨 Hotel Gotham Newcastle opens September 2025 in the city's former fire station on Pilgrim Street. The first phase unveils 57 rooms, including 6 suites. Early 2026 sees 30 more rooms, including Gotham Sanctum Suites, in the adjoining police station. The site will feature Siren and Fire dining options, an event space for up to 120 guests, and Club Brass, a members’ club. The development preserves heritage while adding a modern twist.

Airlines reroute and cancel flights as Middle East conflict escalates

✈️ Airlines are suspending flights to the Middle East due to escalating conflicts following US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities on June 13. Major hubs like Dubai and Doha are affected, with limited air activity between Iran and the Mediterranean. The Laslett appoints hotel manager

Auberge Resorts names Haro as MD of London flagship

Dishoom expands into accommodation with Permit Room Lodgings

Grand Hôtel des Bains to undergo €200 million restoration

📍 Italy: In 2025, COIMA SGR acquired €54 million in debt for the Grand Hôtel des Bains in Lido di Venezia and plans to invest €200 million to restore it after 15 years of closure. Opened in 1900, the hotel inspired Thomas Mann’s "Death in Venice." It closed in 2010 when Est Capital abandoned a luxury apartment project. COIMA and Eagle Hills, led by Mohamed Alabbar, will restore it into a modern luxury resort, engaging Venice's authorities.

Le Beauvallon to reopen ahead of COMO relaunch

Ascott expands Crest Collection into East Asia and the Middle East
