Story Hospitality appoints VP of finance to support UAE expansion

💸 Story Hospitality has appointed Ameer Rehman as vice president of finance amid expansion in the UAE, Seychelles, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia. Rehman, a PwC-trained chartered accountant, brings over 20 years of financial leadership in hospitality across the UK, Saudi Arabia, and the EMEA region. Previously, he was senior VP at Cool Inc and spent a decade with Hilton. His appointment is part of Story Hospitality’s focus on financial discipline, innovation, and sustainability.

Lancaster House Hotel to host new treatment room

🏋️ Lancaster House Hotel in North Lancashire has collaborated with physiotherapist Mark Leather to establish a treatment room in its on-site health club, Sandpiper. Leather, who started his career in the 1980s and worked with Liverpool and Sunderland, will offer a range of services, including hydrotherapy. The partnership aims to enhance services for guests and residents. The hotel's health club was upgraded in January 2023 and includes facilities like a pool for rehabilitation programs.

Baltic View Resort and Spa opens on Poland’s Baltic coast

Travelodge posts stable revenues as Q3 momentum builds

Hoteliers warn Budget measures risk squeezing sector

Pellicano Hotels details €53m revival of Tuscan estate La Suvera

BUDGET: Income tax bands frozen, minimum wage to increase, NI-exempt pension threshold scrapped

💰 Income tax and NI thresholds will be frozen until 2031, generating £8bn, while the minimum wage rises by 50p from April 2026. Aimbridge to manage six-hotel portfolio in Mexico

The properties, in Cancún, Guadalajara, Ciudad Juárez, San Luis Potosí, Nuevo Laredo, and Torreón, will undergo significant renovations. Real Inn Cancún, Guadalajara Expo, and Ciudad Juárez, with 160, 163, and 150 rooms respectively, will reopen in April 2026. The others will relaunch in October 2026. This expands Aimbridge’s voco presence to 10 North American hotels.

Hyatt to open 204-room Regency hotel at Olympia in spring 2026

🏨 Hyatt is set to open the 204-room Hyatt Regency London Olympia in spring 2026 in Emberton House, formerly Europe's largest multi-storey car park. The wider Olympia redevelopment will offer 30 restaurants, a theatre, and a live music venue. The Regency brand targets business and leisure travelers in Kensington.
