Ambleside’s Norwood House changes hands after 30 years

🏨 Norwood House, a guest house in Ambleside, Cumbria, was sold for £740k after being owned by Keith and Wendy Morgan since 1996. The 8-bedroom property includes guest facilities and a 2-bedroom apartment. After a 2-year search, business agent Graham Wilkinson from Christie and Co facilitated the sale. Local solicitors, Stuart Bailey and Terri Abbot, managed the legal process. The Morgans are retiring after nearly 30 years of hospitality.

Edmond de Rothschild REIM makes first UK hotel acquisition

🏨 Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) has acquired a Travelodge-leased hotel in Stafford, UK, marking its first UK acquisition. Located in the West Midlands, the hotel has 18 years remaining on its lease. This expands REIM's pan-European portfolio, which spans four countries and five sectors, maintaining full occupancy with a weighted average unexpired lease term of about 14 years. Edmond de Rothschild REIM manages €13.6 billion (£11.8 billion) across eight European offices.

Irish hoteliers welcome govt’s new national tourism policy

QHotels Collection appoints two new GMs in Cheshire

Radisson debuts two Prize by Radisson hotels in Bergen

FBD invests €2m in first phase of Grand Hotel Malahide refurb

🏨 FBD Hotels and Resorts completed a €2m (£1.76m) refurbishment of the Grand Hotel Malahide's ground floor. Acquired for €55m (£48.3m) from the Ryan family in March, the 202-room hotel overlooks the Malahide estuary in Dublin. Designer Liz Harte modernized key areas, and €200k (£175k) was invested in the health club. The €5m (£4.4m) project, finishing by February 1, targets weddings.
