Hyde Park hotel acquired with £20m funding from Cohort Capital

🏨 An unnamed buyer acquired The Lancaster, a Grade II-listed hotel overlooking Hyde Park, with £20m funding from Cohort Capital. The 54-room property, spanning over 41,000 sq ft, is a redevelopment opportunity in central London. Options include converting it into a 67-bedroom boutique hotel, a 64-unit serviced apartment, or a private members' club. The deal, completed in three weeks, increased Cohort Capital's loan book to £740m.

Aksaya signs deal with Marriott to open Nairobi airport hotel

🏨 Aksaya Estates Limited aims to open a Courtyard by Marriott at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi by 2027. This development will feature 180 rooms, two restaurants, bars, a rooftop fitness center, a swimming pool, and event spaces. The property has achieved preliminary EDGE Advanced Certification for sustainability. This will be Aksaya's second Marriott-branded hotel in Kenya, following the Sankara Nairobi. Marriott manages over 9,600 properties globally.

Down Hall expands wellness offering with launch of new garden spa

🏨 Down Hall Hotel, Spa and Estate expanded its wellness facilities by launching The Barn Spa, an 1,800 sq ft retreat within its 110-acre grounds on the Essex–Hertfordshire border. It features five treatment rooms and an outdoor relaxation terrace. Operating in partnership with Bramley, treatments use vegan, cruelty-free products. Signature offerings include the Selenite Crystal Body Massage and Rejuvenate Ritual. The spa aims to attract diverse guests, including families and expectant mothers, with various day packages available.

Zleep opens second German hotel near Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion

Feathers Hotel joins Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Faraway Hotels to open new sites in Sag Harbor and Jackson Hole

Hatherton House Hotel to go to auction after fire incident

NUMA Group launches premium brand for European expansion

Their gross operating profit margins are 55–60%. "Native by Numa" currently has 20 properties and 1,000 signed units in the UK.

IHG adds nine Voco hotels across Southern Europe
