Rosewood rebrands amid ‘cultural connection’-focused expansion

🏨 Luxury hospitality group Rosewood Hotel Group, operating 41 hotels globally, announced a rebrand with a new visual identity and website. Founded in 1979, Rosewood’s projects include hotels in France, Crete, Saudi Arabia, California, and Seoul. The Seoul location is expected to open in 2027. The rebrand includes a new wordmark, monogram, and color scheme, aligning with growth and digital strategies. CEO Sonia Cheng aims to enhance guest experiences.

Wigan Council and Cityheart to build new Hilton hotel

📈 Wigan Council and Cityheart will construct a 144-room, six-storey Hampton by Hilton hotel beginning in October 2025. The £multi-million Fettlers development will be completed in winter 2027, creating about 40 jobs. The 5,800m² hotel will include guest rooms, a gym, dining, meeting facilities, and parking. This project is part of a regeneration plan, transforming the former Galleries site into a neighbourhood with over 400 homes, a market hall, and leisure spaces. The Market Hall opens in late 2026.

The Priory in Caerleon appoints Grady Atkins as head chef

🍳 Grady Atkins, with over 30 years of culinary experience, joined The Priory in Caerleon, South Wales, as head chef on 1 September. The Priory plans a new kitchen garden for sustainability. Atkins will relaunch the menu on 1 December, emphasizing local sourcing.

Leisureplex Hotel Group acquires Derwentwater Hotel and Apartments

Adina to open first UK hotel at Cambridge’s historic Hobson House
