🏨 Portman, alongside public and private partners, has chosen Marriott Hotels to run a new 700-room hotel in Cincinnati. Due to open in 2028, it will be part of an $828 million investment in the Convention District, linked to Duke Energy Convention Center by skybridge. The hotel will feature over 62,000 square feet of meeting space and a 17,445-square-foot events terrace. Supported by the City of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, and Ohio, it's part of a $264 million revitalization plan.

🏨 Hilton will debut Spark by Hilton in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in late 2025, marking the brand's entry into the Caribbean and Latin America. The hotel, managed by HI Development P.R. Corp and owned by Ponce Resorts Inc., will feature 120 rooms, a meeting space, breakfast area, and outdoor pool. Located near Ponce International Airport and Highway 52, Hilton aims to double its presence in Puerto Rico in four years, with 290 hotels across the Caribbean and Latin America and 145 in development.

🏨 Coury Hospitality is now managing the 163-room Plunge Beach Resort in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida, and the 181-suite Residence Inn Alexandria in Virginia. Owned by T2 Hospitality affiliates, these properties are part of Coury Hospitality's strategic expansion. Plunge Beach Resort offers 5,900 sq ft of event space, while Residence Inn features a lobby bar and fitness center. Coury's disciplined approach aims to enhance performance and growth at these locations.

🏨 Dusit International, in July 2025, launches Dusit Hotels, its ninth brand, targeting 120 to 300 key hotels in prime city and resort locations. Initial launches include Dusit Hotel Doha, Qatar; Dusit Le Palais Tu Hoa, Hanoi, Vietnam; Dusit Hotel AG Park, Chengdu, China, with Dusit Hotel Greenhills, Manila opening in 2026. Dusit Hotel Doha offers 261 guestrooms and 96 apartments. The chain plans to add eight hotels in the next two years, expanding its 294-property portfolio across 18 countries.

📍 Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Cygnett Hotels & Resorts have formed a 10-year alliance to expand in South Asia, aiming to add over 60 hotels in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal by 2026. The agreement will introduce La Quinta by Wyndham and Registry Collection Hotels. Wyndham currently operates over 70 hotels in the region. The deal includes 50 La Quinta hotels and 10 co-branded Registry Collection properties under Cygnett's Anamore brand, targeting rising tourism and middle-class growth.

📍 Dreamscape Hospitality, a Dallas-based hotel management company, has taken over management of three hotels in Houston: Hilton Garden Inn Houston/The Woodlands, Homewood Suites by Hilton Houston NW at Beltway 8, and Hyatt Place Houston/The Woodlands. This strategic expansion aims to serve various traveler segments, from extended-stay to upscale business travel. 🏨 Balfour in Miami Beach reopened under Morgans Originals after a renovation by Bigtime Design Studios and Ennismore. Located on Ocean Drive, the 82-room art deco hotel features Cleo, an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, and SoFi Coffee, a café opening later this summer. Originally opened in 1940, the hotel retains its historical elements while adding modern touches. Amenities include a plunge pool, rooftop deck, and 2,000 sq. ft. of event space. Cleo offers family-style dishes and themed programming.

🏨 Hilton's Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof, with 154 rooms, marks the brand's first entry into South Africa. Situated in Cape Town's City Bowl, the hotel is a short 10-minute drive from Table Mountain. Guests can enjoy local attractions with complimentary Canopy Bikes. Ongetem, the hotel's restaurant led by chef Bertus Basson, offers flame-grilled meats and cocktails. This opening aligns with Hilton's growth in South Africa, which saw nearly 9 million visitors in 2024.
