Partners Group acquires The Hoxton Poblenou in Barcelona

🏨 Partners Group, Trinity Investments, and another investor acquired the 240-key Hoxton Poblenou hotel in Barcelona's 22@ District from Norlake Hospitality. The purchase is part of Partners Group’s hospitality strategy with a USD $1 billion asset portfolio. This marks their fourth collaboration with Trinity since 2023. The hotel, which opened in spring 2022, features four F&B venues, a rooftop, and over 1,000 square meters of event space, with plans to boost group bookings and F&B offerings.

The 0.001 per cent and future of hotels

📈 World Inequality Report reveals 0.001% of the population holds triple the wealth of the bottom 50%. Since the 1990s, billionaire wealth has grown 8% yearly, double the rate of the poorest half. Top 10% cause 77% of private capital carbon emissions, while the bottom half causes 3%. Women earn 61% of men's hourly wages, dropping to 32% when unpaid labor is counted. India's travel market to grow significantly by 2030 despite economic challenges.

Lafayette Hotels doubles direct bookings with RMS

📈 Lafayette Hotels, US: Since adopting RMS's property management system, direct online bookings have more than doubled over four years, with 70% of reservations now direct across 26 properties. Server and IT maintenance costs decreased by $100,000 annually, and automated accounting saves over 60 hours weekly. The onboarding of new properties takes a minimum of nine days. The transition from six management systems and three channel managers to RMS has streamlined operations and enhanced efficiency.

Atari launches public share offering to fund debut US hotel

🎮 Atari has launched a public equity offering for its first hotel in Phoenix's Roosevelt Row Arts and Entertainment District. The development, led by Intersection Development and designed by räkkhaus, has seen a $14 million investment and aims to raise $35-$40 million more. It will feature 91 tech-enhanced rooms, creator studios, dining venues, and an e-sports arena for 2,000+ people. Construction begins in early 2026, with opening planned for late 2028. Minimum investment is $500.

Dominus gets green light for hotel conversion in Camden

🏨 Dominus has secured approval in September 2025 to convert a telephone exchange on Judd Street, Camden, into a 240-bed hotel. Designed by Stiff + Trevillion, the project retains 80% of the building’s framework and aims for BREEAM Excellent standards. The ground floor will include a public restaurant, café, and bar. Dominus Hospitality will manage the hotel, creating over 100 jobs and launching the Camden Hospitality Academy with Springboard Charity and Hilton.

Mövenpick to debut in the UK with countryside resort

🏨 Accor partners with Select Group to bring Mövenpick to the UK in late 2027, transforming the Old Thorns Estate in Hampshire.
