Opera Contemporary firms the sleeping area furniture for the prestigious project Hilltop House

🏠 Opera Contemporary, a luxury furniture brand, furnished the sleeping area of Hilltop House, a private villa in Metro Manila, Philippines, curated by Moda Interni and Casa Licup. The master bedroom features a Dorothy bed with a green bouclé fabric headboard, 350 cm wide, and accommodates a 200x200 cm mattress. Additional pieces include the Fritz bench, Sophie armchair, and a Ø120-cm New Brian coffee table with Arabescato Vagli marble. Opera Contemporary highlighted bespoke Italian craftsmanship.

Lake District hotel resort launches solar energy project

🌞 English Lakes Hotels invested £195,000 in 385 solar panels at Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa, Windermere. In 2025, these panels will generate over 130,000 kWh annually, saving £1.3m in lifetime costs and reducing CO₂ emissions by 33 tons per year. Hydropower already provides 12% of the hotel's electricity, saving £36,000 in 2024. The project aims at carbon neutrality, with payback expected in six years and parallels the planting of 6,000 trees.

The bar features a tasting room, artisanal platters, Italian pizzas, and a gift section, operating Monday-Saturday (9am-10:30pm, coffee from 9am) and Sunday (9am-9:30pm). Sloane Stanley Reels in New Restaurant for King’s Road

🍔 Beef & Bass to open first site at 356-360 King’s Road, Chelsea. The 4,512 sq ft restaurant features a 14-cover speakeasy bar, an open kitchen, charcoal grill, and a private dining room. Founders Alessandro Verdenelli and Daniele Pampagnin join other debuts on Sloane Stanley’s Estate. Hannah Grievson from Sloane Stanley highlighted the area’s F&B hub. Mister Lasagne also opens at 273 Fulham Road. Miles Commercial and Levy Real Estate represent Sloane Stanley Estate.

🌊 The Boat, a restaurant and micro-farm in Lichfield, Staffordshire, helmed by Chef Liam Dillon, is Michelin guide recommended and included in the Estrella Damm Top Gastropubs list. Earning Three Rosettes and noted for its wine list and sustainability, it was a finalist in the 2024 AA sustainability award. Over eight years, Liam transformed a pub into a venue with on-site produce, including 5 bee hives, pigs, 24 hens, and various crops like cicely and wasabi. The Boat's menu, featuring Porthilly rock oysters, Staffordshire lamb, and more, is based on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, and supplemented by an aquaponics system farming trout. A Floral Chapter – Celebrating 250 Years of Jane Austen
