Shiko Group Set to Hit £9.2m Turnover

🍺 Shiko Group, a North West bar and kitchen operator, projects a turnover of £9.2m for the current year and £14m for 2025/26 after acquiring The Lawn Club in Manchester in 2017. Starting with a £300,000 turnover in 2019, the Group now boasts eight venues across Manchester and Leeds, with plans for expansion in Manchester and beyond. Anthony Ellis, co-founder, credits the success to unique venues and the team's hard work.

Kaldewei hosts Luxstainability event at the Bulgari Hotel London

📍 KALDEWEI's panel at Bulgari Hotel, Knightsbridge London on 5th February discussed "Luxstainability™"—the melding of luxury and sustainability. Notable panelists included Roberto Martinez from Kaldewei, designer Stefan Diez, Amy Nelson-Bennett, CEO of Positive Luxury, and Siobhan Kelly of David Collins Studio. The Bulgari Hotel, which has used Kaldewei's sustainable bathtubs for 13+ years, showcased the new OYO DUO bath by Diez—100% recyclable and water-efficient. Kaldewei, a family business for over 100 years, emphasizes sustainability through EPDs tracking products since 2009, and uses Bluemint green steel, aligning with the Paris Agreement's science-based targets. Approximately two-thirds of their materials are sourced from Germany, and the rest mainly from Europe, ensuring a circular lifecycle. The luxury sector's influence on sustainability and the importance of educating consumers on long-term value were highlighted, with an emphasis on the EU's net-zero goal within 25 years.

Easter Skiing Escapes: Spring Luxury at Elizabeth Arthotel

🏂 Easter falls on 18-21 April in 2025, providing a prime late-season ski opportunity in Ischgl, Austrian Alps. Ischgl, with skiing until May, offers longer daylight, milder temperatures, and a high-altitude terrain that maintains excellent conditions. The Elizabeth Arthotel, established in 1976, offers luxury accommodations with ski-in/ski-out access and amenities like a spa, infinity pool, and gourmet dining. Ischgl celebrates 30 years of Top of the Mountain Concerts in 2025, featuring artists like Shaggy on 20 April, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on 1 May, and OneRepublic on 3 May. The resort has 239 km of pistes, 45 lifts, and runs up to 11 km, including a connection to Switzerland's Samnaun region. Hotel guests can enjoy a six-course tasting menu and a 7,000-bottle wine cellar. Owner Mirjam Aloys highlights the unique late-season skiing experience at Ischgl.

G.A Group Unveils Transformation of Iconic Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels

Located in the Freedom Quarter, the hotel is celebrated for its Louis XVI facade and grand interiors.
