🏨 Jumeirah, a luxury brand, plans to open three Dubai developments: Jumeirah Asora Bay (completion in 2029), a hotel/residential complex in La Mer South, and Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers in the business district. Jumeirah Asora Bay will offer 103 hotel rooms, 20 villas, and 29 residences, while Jumeirah Residences will have 754 units. This expansion is part of Jumeirah’s Mission 2030 to double its portfolio, with a diversified offering including Jumeirah Icons, Privé, Hotels & Resorts, and Residences.

🏨 Dalata Hotel Group, in partnership with Grupo Insur, will open a 243-room Clayton Hotel in Madrid's Valdebebas district, near Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, in Q1 2029. The hotel will feature amenities like a restaurant, bar, and fitness center, and aims for LEED Gold certification. It's part of Madrid's urban expansion, close to attractions like IFEMA (4 million annual visitors) and Real Madrid City, and anticipates benefits from events like the F1 Spanish Grand Prix starting 2026. Dalata will operate the hotel on a 15-year lease with extension options, with rent based on revenue after the first three years.

🏨 OYO is expanding its Sunday brand in the UK, signing leases for six former Mercure hotels in Cardiff, Warwick, Dorking, Staines, Exeter, and Winchester. These will be refurbished and rebranded. The company expects to host approximately 65,000 international guests annually, with over 30% being overseas visitors. This expansion complements OYO’s existing Lansbury Heritage hotel in London and its presence in Asia and the Middle East.

🍴 Chef Ton is set to open "Sood", a restaurant in Penang, aiming to become a culinary hub with local and international chef collaborations. Penang's status as a luxury and lifestyle destination with rich heritage enhances this vision. Additionally, Chef Ton plans to launch "As I Am", a new restaurant and bar concept in Kuala Lumpur in a few months, promising affordable yet delicious dining. Sood's opening signifies Chef Ton's venture into Malaysia, blending Thai and Penang flavors, and emphasizing sustainable practices in the food industry.

🏝 Wyndham Hotels & Resorts launched La Quinta by Wyndham in Batumi, Georgia, contributing to the area's tourism growth. In 2024, Georgia saw 7.4 million international visitors, a 4.2% increase from the previous year. The Batumi hotel, near the beach and airport, features 98 rooms, fitness and wellness centers, a restaurant, and a bar. Wyndham now operates seven hotels across five brands in Georgia, with La Quinta's global presence exceeding 900 hotels.

📍 Ascott Limited has over 17,400 units globally, with 11 new properties signed in the last 16 months, expanding across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Ascott Ortigas Manila, Ascott Shenton Way Singapore, and the first Ascott property in Wenzhou, China are recent additions. Ascott Villas Riyadh, its first all-villa hotel in Saudi Arabia, opens in July 2025. Ascott's multi-typology strategy includes various guest accommodations, like the Ascott Residences Batu Ferringhi Penang with 99 luxury units, set to complete in 2028.
