🏨 Accor to open three new hotels in Madrid by 2025: ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas (260 rooms), ibis Madrid Norte Las Tablas (148 rooms), and ibis Budget Madrid Albasanz (101 rooms), increasing their Madrid portfolio to 28 hotels with 4,114 rooms. Ibis Styles near Madrid-Barajas Airport features a restaurant, rooftop pool, and airport shuttle. Ibis Madrid Norte, in Q3 2025, offers electric vehicle charging. Ibis Budget, end of 2025, is in Julián Camarillo business district. Expansion includes Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol and SLS Barcelona in 2025, and Mercure Ponta Delgada Azores, totaling 96 hotels in Spain.

🏨 Hilton and Arteloge to launch four new hotels in Lyon, France. Spark by Hilton brand debuts in France with two hotels opening end of 2025 and one in summer 2026. DoubleTree by Hilton Lyon Plage opening in 2028, adding a total of 655 rooms. Spark by Hilton offers a premium economy experience with 102 and 100 rooms at two locations, practical amenities, and collaborative workspaces. DoubleTree will provide 118 rooms, 56 extended-stay accommodations, and signature cookies.

🏠 Rocco Forte Hotels to open The Carlton Milan, its second Milanese property, in late summer 2025, following Rocco Forte House Milan's September 2024 opening. Located on Via della Spiga, The Carlton Milan will offer around 70 rooms and suites, a restaurant, lounge bar, wellness center with a gym and spa, and a rooftop bar with city views. This marks the brand's 10th Italian property, amidst expansion supported by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund's 49% stake acquired in 2023.

🏨 Mercure opened its first hotel in Ankara, Türkiye, situated in the Kızılay district. Mercure Ankara Kızılay offers 72 renovated rooms, various dining options including Shine Restaurant, Kentro Café, and Shine Bar, plus three flexible meeting rooms that can host up to 120 guests. Accor's hotel group has 8 hotels in Türkiye and plans to add 3 more by 2026. Guests can enjoy an equipped fitness center and the Accor loyalty program, ALL.

🌆 Drury Hotels to open new Drury Plaza Hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in September, marking their sixth hotel in the state. Located at 140 Jake Thomas Road, the hotel will feature over 250 rooms, free parking, on-site dining, and views of the Smoky Mountains. CEO Chuck Drury highlights their trusted service for travelers. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, evening snacks, a casual dining venue, business and fitness centers, an indoor pool, outdoor spa, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel will create about 70 jobs and is near attractions like Dollywood and the LeConte Event Center. Drury Hotels has over 150 properties across 27 states since 1973.

🍴 Vandelay Hospitality opened Le Bistrot Bar Sardine on December 20 in Snider Plaza, Dallas. Chef Elliot Azoulay, trained at École Ducasse and with experience at Paris's La Fontaine de Mars and Marseille's Le Petit Nice, leads the Parisian-style restaurant. The menu includes French bistro classics, complemented by a diverse French wine list and cocktails like Chocolate Negroni and Caviar Martini. Vandelay's portfolio also includes Jack and Harry’s, El Molino, Slider and Blues, and DL Mack’s in Snider Plaza.

🏨 Travelodge, the UK budget hotel brand, will open a new hotel by Easter 2025 at the former Ibis site, Bromley Mall, southeast London. The 25-year lease involves renovating a 59-room property starting this month. The expansion includes over 100 potential sites in London, with current construction in Beckenham, Chiswick, and Stratford, plus acquisitions like a St Paul’s office building for a 95-room hotel and an upcoming 82-room hotel in Upminster.

🏡 Hotel De La Poste – French Quarter, a Renaissance Hotel, owned by Melville Holdings and managed by Sage Hospitality Group, was previously known as W New Orleans. Sage, under CEO Walter Isenberg, managed it from 1989 to 1997, leading in RevPAR. After a 2024 renovation, the hotel now has 97 guest rooms and suites, including the Carriage House Suite, near Bourbon Street and the Mississippi River. Amenities include a heated pool, private courtyard, 24-hour fitness center, and nearly 5,000 square feet of event space. The Third Block Depot Kitchen and Bar serves Creole-inspired cuisine.
