Apicii hospitality group sets its sights on the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Brighton Beach and Sheepshead Bay

🏨 Brooklyn's South edge is seeing the rise of new developments: Breva restaurant, with 100 seats and a 110-seat patio, opened in December on Brighton Beach. Led by Tom Dillon, Apicii is developing Casa Pecora, a 55-room hotel with 10,000 sq ft of event space, set to open in summer 2026. Brooklyn houses 2.6 million people and is accessible to Manhattan. Despite resuming office work, 67% of organizations allow hybrid approaches. Dillon's ventures aim for South Brooklyn's long-term growth.

Starr Restaurants return to Atlantic City with two venues at Ocean Casino Resort

🍴 Stephen Starr’s restaurant group returned to Atlantic City, N.J., opening two new concepts at Ocean Casino Resort last week after exiting in 2020. Located on the lobby level, Sunny’s offers a menu with prices from $16 to $29, while Chez Frites provides a prix-fixe menu at $49-$56. Starr Restaurants, based in Philadelphia, operates 40 venues across several major cities and previously closed its Atlantic City outpost in 2020.
