🏨 Italy, 2026: The Monteleone, a boutique hotel with 17 rooms, opens in rural Umbria within a reimagined 19th-century estate. Rome-based STUDIOTAMAT designed four signature suites. Amenities include a seasonal pool, open-air spa, gym, and olive grove. Dining features The Bistrot and a pool bar. Phase two in autumn 2026 will introduce dedicated dinner service. Summer events include weekly BBQs, pizza nights, porchetta nights, and a weekly open-air cinema.

Accor Expands with Over 180 Hotels Worldwide and 125 More Projects, Marking 65% Growth in Pipeline

🏨 Accor operates over 180 hotels across five collections, with 125 more projects on the way, marking a 65% growth. Emblems Collection targets 60 properties by 2032, while MGallery grew 30% since 2022. Handwritten Collection has opened in 40 locations since 2023, planning 45 more. Collection brands make up 3% of Accor’s listings and 8% of its pipeline. Upcoming openings include properties in Greece and Thailand.

Blue Flag Capital to Nearly Double Hotel Portfolio with Four New Openings in New York and Wyoming This Summer

🏨 Blue Flag Capital is set to open four boutique hotels in 2026, including three in New York and one in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Hotel Corduroy (29 keys) opens in Montauk in May, Oyster Estate (34 rooms) in Greenport in September, and both Faraway Sag Harbor (67 rooms) and Faraway Jackson Hole (90 rooms + 48 residences) in June. Faraway Jackson Hole will feature a 2028 expansion with additional amenities. The new hotels nearly double Blue Flag’s portfolio from five to nine properties.

PPHE Hotel Group puts New York site up for sale

📈 PPHE is selling its Manhattan site near Hudson Yards, acquired in 2019, for $33.5 million. Regulatory changes post-acquisition halted plans for a hotel and condominiums.
