Japan Records 0.1% Annual Growth in Visitor Arrivals, South Korea and Taiwan Lead Over China
🗺 Japan's tourism experienced a 0.1% annual growth after four static months, with arrivals reaching 3,437,118 in 2025, up from 3,292,500 in 2024. South Korea led with 894,700 visitors, a 31.9% rise, followed by Taiwan's record 763,800 arrivals. A 56.4% drop in Chinese visitors followed a Sino-Japanese crisis. The yen's low value fuels competitiveness. Japan targets 60 million visitors by 2030, despite a 1.7% dip in arrivals, reaching 24,527,200 from January to July.
