Summer 2025 review: A generally sluggish market, but marked regional contrasts

🏨 Over the first seven weeks of summer 2025, hotel activity in France fell by 9.2% compared to 2024. Paris saw declines, while Nice and Cannes grew by +6% and +20% over two years. Coastal and mountain regions saw positive growth, +5% and +7.5% respectively. Visitor numbers increased by 1.2 points, but spending was controlled. Rural and southern destinations gained popularity. The Tour de France positively impacted Lille, Normandy, and Brittany, with RevPAR increasing by +8.5% and +10%.

European hotel performance in July 2025: The rules of the game are changing

European hotels faced a 2.3% decline in RevPAR compared to July 2024, with a notable 5.4% drop in the economy segment due to a 4% decrease in average daily rates. Spain's RevPAR grew by 3.3%, while Greece led with a 15.4% increase, despite occupancy challenges. Italy and Portugal saw declines, with Italy's RevPAR dropping by 5.4%.

June 2025: where is the growth for the hospitality industry?
