Chateau Denmark in Soho to Close in August 2026 After Four Years of Operation; Bars to Remain Open

🏨 Chateau Denmark in Soho will close on 4 August 2026, after operating for over four years since its April 2022 opening. The boutique hotel, comprising 16 buildings with 55 rooms and apartments, was launched by CAW Ventures in partnership with Outernet London. Despite the closure, the award-winning club, Thirteen, and private bar, dial8, both opened in 2023, will continue to operate, ensuring the spirit of Chateau Denmark lives on.

Hilton Expands in Ireland with New Hotels, Including DoubleTree in Ashbourne, Creating Over 150 Jobs

🏨 Hilton to expand in Ireland by 2027, adding 150 jobs across eight hotels. A 156-room DoubleTree by Hilton will open in Ashbourne, near Dublin, after refurbishment, while Home2 Suites by Hilton debuted in Dublin City Centre with 290 suites. In Northern Ireland, a 144-room Tempo by Hilton will launch in Belfast City Centre. Cork City Centre will see a 103-room Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Hilton's workforce will reach 1,000 staff in Ireland.

CapitalRise Provides £8m for 40-Key Aparthotel and Pub Redevelopment in Hammersmith, Operated by Numa Stays

Accor Reports 2.2% Increase in H1 2026 RevPAR; EBITDA Rises 6.5% to €563 Million Despite Middle East Disruption

🏨 Accor reported a 2.2% rise in revenue per available room in H1 2026, with EBITDA up 6.5% to €563m and recurring cash flow rising 42% to €194m. Despite Middle East conflicts impacting the UAE, RevPAR grew 4.6%. The group opened nearly 14,000 rooms, achieving a 3.2% net unit growth. Their portfolio reached 881,928 rooms in 5,835 hotels, with a development pipeline increase of 11.4%. New rooms generate €1,700 fees annually per room.

Whitbread to Close 106 Beefeater and 89 Brewers Fayre Sites, Affecting 3,800 Jobs to Save £250m
