A new stage in Rotana’s development

🏨 Rotana has signed a deal for Rotana Jabal Omar – Makkah, a 655-key hotel near Al Masjid Al Haram, during the Future Hospitality Summit in Dubai. The project supports Saudi Vision 2030 by enhancing pilgrimage capacity and service quality. Rotana operates 12 hotels in Saudi Arabia and plans nine more. Makkah is expanding its hospitality infrastructure, with hotel rooms expected to increase from 63,000 to over 71,000 by 2027, aiming to host 30 million pilgrims annually by 2030.

European outdoor hospitality in transformation

🏖 European Camping Group (ECG) has rebranded, two years into its transformation plan, to unify corporate and operational brands. Following Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund investment, ECG aims for a cohesive identity. From 2026, all French operations will consolidate under the Homair brand, which holds a 43% brand awareness. Alannia Resorts, acquired in July 2025, will also adopt the ECG identity. A new Homair website and a Europe-wide campaign are set to launch in December.

Accor recognised for its supply chain decarbonisation programme

🌟 Accor's "Achieving Net Zero Together" initiative won the 2024 Leading Global Climate Action Initiative award. Launched in 2024, it focuses on reducing supply chain emissions through supplier engagement. Over 1,000 suppliers, representing 77% of Accor’s purchasing, participate. The programme earned Accor the CDP Supplier Engagement Leader label, placing it in the top 6% globally. The World Travel Awards received over 700 submissions in 2025, a 100% increase from 2024, indicating growing environmental awareness.

Radisson strengthens its path toward “Net Zero”

🏨 In spring 2025, Radisson Hotel Group inaugurated its two first verified net-zero hotels in Manchester and Oslo, developed from existing buildings. The hotels achieve carbon neutrality through electrification, renewable energy, and Agreena program offsets. Five months post-opening, 80% of guests recognized the net-zero status, and 20% chose the hotel for this reason. Oslo invested €1,000 per room, while Manchester spent an additional €1.5 million. Radisson aims for ten net-zero hotels by 2026, sharing methodologies through the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance.

A new address in the making for Ennismore in the Spanish capital
