Evaluation by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety of over 250 properties found a 90% damage likelihood if over 25% of ground cover within 5 feet was fuel. Hotel insurance costs have doubled since 2019, with resorts at $2,464 per room versus $528 for limited-service properties. California's Zone 0 regulations will phase in over 3-5 years.
