Avion Hospitality Awarded Management of Newly Rebranded Hotel Savoy Kansas City

🏨 Avion Hospitality, a hotel management company, announced the management of the Hotel Savoy Kansas City, now part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The hotel, previously the 21c Kansas City, underwent a transformation to offer a blend of historic legacy and modern luxury. The Savoy Grill, established in 1903, continues as a feature of the hotel. Avion's CEO Robert Burg mentions this as their second hotel in Kansas City. In November, Avion also took over two Hyatt Hotels in Charleston.

Accor expands Its presence in Istanbul with The Grand Tarabya hotel

🏨 Accor adds The Grand Tarabya Hotel to its Istanbul portfolio, located in the Tarabya neighborhood overlooking the Bosphorus Strait. Opened in 1966 and restored in 2013, the property will be renovated and rebranded as a Fairmont hotel. With 248 rooms and suites, 29 residences, seven dining outlets, and a wellness center, it marks Accor's 38th property in Istanbul. The renovation will update features and services, aligning with Fairmont standards. Accor operates over 70 hotels in Turkey, home to luxury and mid-range brands.

Adagio expands into Luxembourg with new aparthotel

🏠 Adagio will open a new aparthotel in Luxembourg's Cloche d’Or district in 2027, expanding to 17 countries. The "Botanica – Your Office Resort" development includes 520,000 square meters of office space, set to grow by 50% by 2027. The Luxtram extension, planned for 2031, will improve connectivity with a stop at Botanica. The aparthotel features 121 "Smart House" apartments, a fitness center, laundry, and "The Circle" common area. Adagio, founded in 2007, now has 129 sites with 14,733 apartments in 16 countries, offered under three brands. The sustainability-focused project is in partnership with CODIC.

CoralTree Hospitality to manage Utah’s Black Desert and Red Mountain resorts

🏖 CoralTree Hospitality now manages Black Desert Resort and Red Mountain Resort in Utah's Greater Zion region. Black Desert Resort, a 600-acre property, offers 800 rooms, a 45,000-square-foot convention center, 15,000-square-foot spa, and a 19-hole par-72 golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf. The course hosted the PGA TOUR's Black Desert Championship and will welcome the LPGA Tour in April. Ruby begins its expansion in Eastern Europe and chooses Budapest

The first Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Greece opens its doors

Driftwood Secures Financing for Westin Cocoa Beach Resort & Spa

🏖️ Driftwood Capital secured $207 million financing for the Westin Cocoa Beach Resort & Spa in Florida, broke ground in September 2024, and anticipates a 2027 opening. City National Bank and Bayview PACE provided $70 million and $137 million, respectively, with an additional $50 million credit from Amerant Bank. The $420 million, 502-key resort aims to bolster the region's hospitality, featuring 11 food and beverage venues, a spa, wave pool, and sports facilities. It will offer 72,000 square feet of open-air venues and 51,500 square feet of indoor meeting spaces. Upon completion, Driftwood Capital will own 62% of the region’s beachfront inventory and create approximately 1,800 jobs, projecting $3 million in tourist taxes initially and $4.5 million annually by the fifth year.
