France leads with 154 million stays, holding 37.2% of the EU market. Despite France's shrinking campsite supply, ECG continues strategic growth.

🏠 In Salisbury, Cricket Field House is listed for £1.75M after a comprehensive refurbishment by owners David and Claire Hughes since 2017. The property, dating from 1850, features six apartments, multiple en-suite rooms, and generates around £400,000 annually. Situated on a 0.75-acre plot, it offers potential for expansion. The site is 1.5 miles from Salisbury Cathedral and 87 miles from London. Managed by Colliers, it attracts significant interest due to its development potential.

🏨 Angus Land Company Ltd proposed a £480m mixed-use hotel and resort project in Wellbank, Scotland. Spanning 310 acres, it includes a 450-room Hyatt hotel, IMG golf facilities, and 185 residential plots. Public consultations are on 27 April and 3 June, with Mocca Capital and Castle Properties involved. The project aims to create substantial job opportunities and support the local economy by integrating luxury hospitality and residences with training facilities for the tourism industry.

🏨 In Seaview, Isle of Wight, the Northbank Hotel is for sale at £4.2m. Built in the 19th century, this 16-room hotel served various roles, including a WWII WRNS base. Owned by the Shaw-Yates family since 1959, it offers direct beach access. Operating seasonally from May to October, there's potential for extended business. Nick Earee of Fleurets emphasizes its unique history and prime location, highlighting it as a rare acquisition opportunity.

🏨 Domes Resorts has partnered with Goldman Sachs to acquire Casa Collective, marking a growth phase for the hospitality brand. Currently, Casa Collective operates 13 hotels, with four more properties set to join. The transaction aims to expand globally through franchises and strategic partnerships. The existing brands—Cook's Club, Casa Cook, and XIA—will maintain their unique identities while benefiting from Domes’ expertise. This expansion targets experience-driven travelers, leveraging a scalable platform to enhance international presence.

🍷 Nyetimber, a luxury English sparkling wine brand, partners with England Rugby for the 2026 Guinness Men’s Six Nations, appointing ex-captain Jamie George as ambassador. It becomes the first English sparkling wine to sponsor the Men’s and Women’s teams after Bollinger's 24-year reign. In 2024, Nyetimber acquired The Lakes Distillery for £71 million. The English vineyard area rose 123% in a decade, with 75% dedicated to sparkling wine and a 30% growth since 2020, exporting to 30+ countries.

🏨 L Catterton and Cedar Capital Partners acquire two European hotels: the Penha Longa Resort, a 204-room, five-star hotel in Lisbon, Portugal, and the 177-room, four-star Garden Beach Hotel in Antibes, France. CLI Dartriver buys the Radisson Blu Leicester Square, London, for £120 million. Leonardo Hotels acquires the 272-room Hotel Saint in Aldgate, London. Kempinski acquires the Augustine Hotel in Prague, planning rebranding by 2026. Grupotel purchases the 372-room Hotel Ocean House in Málaga, Spain.

🏨 Red Roof's RIDE initiative, launched nearly three years ago, has added over 40 women and representatives from underserved markets to its ownership community as of July 2023. By 2025, six new "Riders" joined, learning hotel ownership fundamentals. Red Roof, partnering with Bridge, offers access to 150+ lenders. Leadership, including Lina Patel and Jaya Desai, emphasizes expanding ownership opportunities, aiming for multiunit ownership and generational wealth. Desai opened a second property in Huntsville in 2025.

🏨 HEI Hotels & Resorts has added The Westin Poinsett in Greenville, S.C., marking its first managed property in South Carolina. Located on South Main Street, this 200-room hotel is just a block from the Peace Center. Originally opened in 1925 and renovated as a Westin in 2000, it was listed in the Historic Hotels of America in 2002. This is the second property HEI manages for Highline Hospitality Partners.

🏨 Samko Real Estate Holdings joined The International Stock Exchange for UK REIT status. The London-based group holds £62m in hospitality assets across the southeast of England. They listed 61,800,001 shares to access public capital for acquisitions. As a REIT, they must distribute 90% of rental profits quarterly. Their portfolio includes hotels like Crowne Plaza London Kingston. They aim for £400m in assets by 2028. Chairman Sampath Kumar Mallaya emphasizes disciplined growth and sustainable returns.
