Amex GBT targets $155 million in cost synergies from CWT merger

💸 Aug 7, 2025, Amex GBT plans to finalize the CWT acquisition by September's end after the U.S. Department of Justice withdrew its lawsuit. The merger is expected to yield $155 million in savings over three years. $3.2 billion in new customer wins over the past year included $2.2 billion from SMEs. Q2 saw a 4% rise in adjusted EBITDA and a 1% revenue increase to $631 million. Corporate travel transactions rose 2% between May and June.

Hunter Hotel Advisors Brokers Sale of Two Marriott Hotels

🗺 Hunter Hotel Advisors sold the 78-key Residence Inn Jacksonville Airport and 81-key Courtyard Jacksonville Airport Northeast to Northstar Hotels Management on July 22, 2025. The sale was executed by Robert Taylor and Sophia Pittaluga from Hunter's Miami office. Located off I-95, near Jacksonville International Airport and major employers, the properties total 159 keys. Future investments are planned. Nearby attractions include Jacksonville Zoo and a future $100 million Holon facility at Imeson Park.

Choice Hotels International Reports Q2 2025 Results

💸 Choice Hotels International, Inc. reported Q2 2025 results in North Bethesda, Maryland. Net income fell to $81.7 million from $87.1 million in 2024. Adjusted EBITDA hit $165 million, a 2% rise. Global rooms increased by 2.1%, and international rooms rose by 5%. The company acquired the remaining 50% of Choice Hotels Canada for $112 million. Domestic RevPAR declined by 2.9%, with liquidity at $587.5 million as of June 30, 2025.

Oyo expects 300 new hotels in the U.S. by end of year

🏨 Oyo has expanded its U.S. portfolio by adding over 150 hotels in the first half of 2025, with plans to double that by year-end. New properties span seven states, including a 400-room Palette Sunset Waves Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, and a 130-room Capital O Kings Inn in Memphis, TN. Oyo focuses on the Sun Belt and Great Lakes regions, enhancing its technology and loyalty programs, and completed its G6 Hospitality acquisition for $525M last December.
