Dubai Holding expands European hospitality portfolio with acquisition in Mallorca
20 January 2026🏠 Dubai Holding has acquired the five-star Jumeirah Mallorca in Port de Sóller, Mallorca, Spain, from Deka Immobilien. This acquisition aligns with Dubai Holding’s strategy to invest in high-quality international assets, adding to their portfolio of 34 hotels, including 5 Jumeirah hotels in Europe. Jumeirah Mallorca, featuring 121 rooms with Mediterranean views, holds LEED Platinum certification. Grand Hôtel des Bains to undergo €200 million restoration
17 June 2025📍 Italy: In 2025, COIMA SGR acquired €54 million in debt for the Grand Hôtel des Bains in Lido di Venezia and plans to invest €200 million to restore it after 15 years of closure. Opened in 1900, the hotel inspired Thomas Mann’s “Death in Venice.” It closed in 2010 when Est Capital abandoned a luxury apartment project. COIMA and Eagle Hills, led by Mohamed Alabbar, will restore it into a modern luxury resort, engaging Venice’s authorities.
