Renasant Convention Center's $230M Renovation Spurs Record $60M Economic Impact in 2022/23 Fiscal Year
🏠 In 2018, Memphis began a $230 million renovation of the Renasant Convention Center, completed in 2021, boosting its appeal with a 118,000-square-foot exhibit hall. Despite reopening during the pandemic, it achieved a $60 million economic impact in 2022/23. The Peabody Memphis hotel completed a $18 million renovation by September 2025. In November 2025, Memphis purchased the Sheraton hotel, the city's largest with over 600 rooms, as part of a $130-million initiative to enhance Downtown Memphis.
