BWH hotels expands global presence with nearly 100 new hotels in 2025

🏨 BWH Hotels added 15,000 hotel keys globally, boosting its position as the second-largest independent soft brand. By 2027, they aim for 70 properties in the Middle East, with new hotels in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Madinah. In Europe, expansions include Germany's Loftstyle Hotel Gerlingen and Slovakia's Best Western Hotel Prešov. The UK saw the addition of seven hotels, including Sheffield City. They are also venturing into extended-stay and glamping sectors.

Hyatt acquires Playa Hotels & Resorts to strengthen its All-Inclusive offering

This acquisition follows previous acquisitions, including the Apple Leisure Group in 2021 and a joint venture with Grupo Piñero in 2024. Hotel & Spa Oceania Les Augustins 4*: A blend of heritage and sustainability in Lille

🏨 In Lille, Oceania Hotels transformed a historic Art Deco bank into the Hotel & Spa Oceania Les Augustins 4*. This first low-carbon hotel in Lille features 87 rooms and an 8x4m stainless steel pool. It received the BBCA low-carbon label, using local flax insulation and reusing materials. The spa retains original vault safes, and the restaurant, led by Jayson Clément, serves sustainable dishes. The hotel includes coworking spaces and modular meeting rooms.

Marriott expands its collection in Edinburgh with three new hotels

🏨 Starting July 1, 2025, The Edinburgh Grand will join The Luxury Collection as its first Scottish property, located on St Andrew Square. Old Town Chambers on the Royal Mile joins Marriott's Autograph Collection. The Colourist opens in 2027 under the Tribute Portfolio at Princes Street. Marriott previously debuted Four Points by Sheraton and W Hotels in Edinburgh and AC Hotels in Inverness. Edinburgh’s cultural allure drives Marriott’s strategic expansion.

Wyndham expands Dolce brand with new property in Sicily
