G.A Group Unveils Transformation of Iconic Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels

🏡 The Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria in Brussels, originally built in 1910, reopened after a refurbishment by GA Group. Located in the Freedom Quarter, the hotel is celebrated for its Louis XVI facade and grand interiors. The Palm Court features a stained-glass roof and belle époque details, while the Palais Royal by David Martin restaurant reflects its royal heritage with gold leaf lettering and a grand marble fireplace. The cocktail bar Under The Stairs draws on art nouveau influences and has 32 covers, connecting to a courtyard with 50 more covers. The Corinthia Spa by Sisley offers a nine-meter lap pool among other wellness facilities. The hotel showcases local Belgian art in guestrooms and suites reflecting the city's heritage, including the Grand Deluxe Suites, the Royal Heritage Suite, and the Grand Masters Penthouse with a private terrace. The project is a blend of historical restoration and modern luxury.

Sage Hospitality expands in San Francisco with Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Wharf

🏡 Sage Hospitality Group takes over management of Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, joining Sage's four other lifestyle hotels in the city, plus properties in Sonoma and Napa Valley. The partnership with Park Hotels & Resorts, initiated with Hilton Denver City Center in December 2024, expands with this 316-room hotel, featuring pet-friendly amenities, an outdoor heated pool, and a 24-hour fitness center. Park Hotels & Resorts boasts a portfolio of 40 hotels and resorts with nearly 25,000 rooms. Sage Hospitality, now in its 40th year, operates four companies.

Santa Maria Pizza Opens Its 6th Location in Paddington

🍕 Santa Maria Pizzeria celebrates its 15th anniversary by opening its sixth location in Paddington, London on 24th February 2025. Founders Angelo Ambrosio and Pasquale Chionchio, who met in Napoli in the 1990s, opened their first site in Ealing in 2010. The new Paddington site is located within the historic Frontline Club. Known for traditional Neapolitan pizza, the brand first gained recognition when named London’s Best Pizza by Time Out shortly after the Ealing opening. Expansions include Fulham, Fitzrovia, Islington, and Kew Gardens. Santa Maria Paddington will be at 13 Norfolk Place, W2 1QJ.

Staycity Group expands into Northern Ireland with new aparthotel in Belfast

🏩 Staycity Group to open its first Northern Ireland property in Belfast, a £20 million Staycity Aparthotel, in 2026. Beaufort House, a 46,000-square-foot, nine-story former HMRC office on Wellington Place will be transformed into a 98-room aparthotel with a gym, bar, restaurant, and shop. Lotus Property received approval in 2024 for conversion, marking Staycity's expansion into 17 European cities with 6,000 rooms across 36 aparthotels since 2004.

Signature Inn Berkeley Opens

[UPDATE] Conrad Hotels & Resorts to settle in Germany

🏦 Hilton to open Conrad Hamburg in 2024, marking its first entry into Germany under the luxury Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand. A franchise agreement with Munich Hotel Partners (MHP) has been signed. The hotel will feature 238 rooms, 25 suites, 32 residential suites, nine meeting rooms, a lounge bar and restaurant, and wellness facilities including a luxury spa, gym, and private pool. Housed in the historic Levantehaus on Mönckebergstraße, Conrad Hamburg joins 15 other Conrad properties in EMEA. Hilton has 56 properties in Germany either trading or under development. Conrad Hamburg is set to enhance luxury accommodation in Hamburg following the 2023 closure of Park Hyatt Hamburg.

Premier Inn makes its debut in Austria with its first hotel in Vienna

🏨 British chain Premier Inn opened its first hotel in Austria, Premier Inn Wien City, near Vienna's central station, acquired in March 2023. The establishment is part of their expansion, adding to 60 hotels in Germany. Marriott expands Caribbean footprint with all-inclusive resort in Dominican Republic

🏖️ Marriott International launched Marriott Miches Beach in the Dominican Republic, marking its all-inclusive debut in the Caribbean. The former Sunrise Miches Beach Resort, renovated starting late 2024, offers nearly 1,000 feet of beachfront and will feature 500 suites upon completion. The resort combines family-friendly and adults-only sections, includes a waterpark, multiple pools, a luxury spa, fitness center, and 8,166 square feet of meeting space. Dining options will encompass 11 restaurants, including a seafood and raw bar, a South American and Caribbean cuisine restaurant, and a ramen shop. Marriott International’s Brian King highlighted the economic growth contribution to the Dominican Republic. Marriott Bonvoy's all-inclusive segment has over 20 properties globally.
