The Palace Madrid joins The Luxury Collection after restoration

🏦 The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Madrid, joins The Luxury Collection after a two-year restoration. Originally The Westin Palace, Madrid, it retains its 1912 heritage with an 8,000-square-meter façade renovated by Ruiz Larrea Arquitectura. The stained-glass dome with 1,875 panels by Eduardo Ferrés i Puig and the lobby's glass palm-tree chandelier are restored. The hotel has 470 rooms and suites, dining at La Cúpula under the dome, featuring dishes named after famous guests, and the 27 Club cocktail bar, inspired by the Generation of 27 literary movement. Marriott Bonvoy® members gain access to exclusive benefits at the hotel, located in the UNESCO-listed Barrio de las Letras, close to cultural sites like the Prado Museum and Retiro Park.

InterContinental Indianapolis opens in historic Illinois Building

🏡 The InterContinental Indianapolis, a luxury hotel, opened downtown near Monument Circle and the Indiana State Capitol at 17 West Market Street, following a $120-million renovation of the historic Illinois Building. It offers 170 guest rooms and suites with amenities like 300-thread count linens and Black Label BeautyRest mattresses; some include soaking tubs and city skyline views. The hotel's unique Penthouse Suite boasts floor-to-ceiling views. Onsite dining options are provided by award-winning Chef Craig Baker, including The Astrea Rooftop Bar and Serliana. More than 5,000 square feet of event space is available, with a 2,500-square-foot ballroom. A 24-hour fitness center and concierge service enhance the guest experience, with proximity to attractions like Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indianapolis Zoo.

IHG Launches Its Garner Brand in the UK

🏨 Garner Hotel Preston Samlesbury, the first UK property of Garner Hotels, operated by KRO Hospitality, marks a significant expansion in Europe. Launched in 2023, Garner Hotels has over 117 properties in Europe, with more than 50 planned in Germany through an agreement with NOVUM Hospitality, and initial signings in Turkey and Italy. The Preston property features 80 rooms, a restaurant, lounge bar, meeting spaces, and a fitness room, showcasing its "Made with Character" design and Sketches of Humanity welcome wall. As part of the IHG portfolio, guests can enjoy IHG One Rewards.

The Hoxton, Florence opens in Italy joining Rome property

🏡 The Hoxton, Florence opened in the city's historic center, succeeding The Hoxton, Rome as the brand's second hotel in Italy. It offers 161 rooms in a 16th-century renaissance palazzo and a 1980s building by Andrea Branzi. The hotel features the Italian restaurant Alassio, the wine bar Enoteca Violetta, a courtyard, event spaces, and a three-bedroom apartment category called House. Original renaissance elements were preserved by Aime Studios, alongside modern designs and Italian craftsmanship. Alassio's menu ranges from necci chestnut pancakes to girella ravioli, while Enoteca Violetta serves international wines and Italian snacks. Guests have complimentary access to Sergio Bianchi bikes and discounts at local fitness centers. The hotel also collaborates with local businesses for guest amenities and showcases emerging artists.

The team behind high-earning Mila just opened Claudie, a French Mediterranean restaurant in Miami

🏠 Claudie, a restaurant inspired by the French Riviera, opened on February 7 in Miami's Brickell neighborhood. The establishment is part of Riviera Dining Group, which also owns Mila, the second highest-grossing independent restaurant last year, and Casa Neos. Claudie's design includes a 2,470-square-foot terrace seating 104 guests and an interior of over 2,400 square feet seating 134. The menu features French Riviera cuisine, with an executive team from the South of France. Riviera Dining Group plans to expand with Noora, a new rooftop restaurant slated to open later this year, and additional projects in Miami and global markets within the next two years.

Hotel Los Monteros Marbella reopens under IHG’s Kimpton brand

HEI Assumes Management of the Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort in Boerne, Texas

Marriott introduces Four Points Flex by Sheraton in France

🏠 The Hôtel Christ Roi in Lourdes will be transformed into Four Points Flex by Sheraton Lourdes Sanctuaire, set to open in 2026. The hotel will feature 180 rooms, catering to both business and leisure travelers, and is located near Lourdes Sanctuary and the Grotto of Massabielle.
